In pacific case, all top 4 have the highest point and in playoffs, so pretty much whoever loses doesnt matter in their playoff run

your words dont make sense but if i try
you trying to say that if team that is in top of champ points(in thier region) goes into top 3(to qualify for champs) in their region than they have 2 slots(1 from champs point and 1 from top 3 in their region)

and no thats not how it works
top 3 teams goes and team that has highest points except top 3 teams gets that slot
idk even i am making sense bruh
