No, just saying that anyone would

your absolutely wrong, MOST young people will but as you get older and wiser you would not accept it knowing that there are unseen/unwanted burdens always tied with free money, especially in situations like this.

The guy is still like 19, he lives in a country where the economy is not exactly blossoming AND he was orgless for a while. He said he thought the money was acquired legally, and there's absolutely noone who would say No to that especially that young. Riot should stay out of this, as they should have with sinatraa too and let the lawyers and profesionals do their work.

if someone donates me good money i will take and wont ask where it comes from. why should someone ask his donator how he earns his money? dont get me wrong but those guys who spend 100 gifteds on twitch to random small fries could be all mass murderers or rapists who stole the money too! from what i understood cned somehow realized at some point the donates are fishy but still, who would report it if he would find free money on the street?

#20

that's not the point. The scheme wasnt simply money giving, the streamers would repass 70% of the money they receivfed through donations back to the scammer, a.k.a money laundry

are you sure? "That guy sent me the bits, the bits transferred to me. I didn’t report those bits to Twitch, I acknowledge that. I didn’t report to Twitch and took the money. I repeat once again, the guy did not contact me. I acknowledge that even though I did not intend to, technically I got involved in this, unfortunately.”

im hoping he just took the money

Honestly, I have a hard time believing in him. If you think about the facts, the situation gets ugly for Cned. The facts we know is that the men who were orchestrating the scheme talked to Cned brother and Cned received all the money and didn't report to Twitch. Until more pieces of evidence get released to the public, the whole situation is indicating that Cned participated just like the others streamers, which is a big shame considering his talent in the game.

No. If he just took random money and didn't pass on a percentage, he wouldn't be talking about it in the first place.

I want to hope that he is talking about this just to come clean and let people know that he actually only took the money for himself, I really don't want to see such a young talent wasted

its washing money lmao he only got to keep 30% of it. that is the whole scheme. i like cned just as much as any turkish fans, he is one of the only breakouts coming from valorant with no fanbase from other games, but defending money laundering is just a whole another ballpark.

so sad, I hope he gets pardoned for this x_X. Also there seems to be misinformation here as some players don't even know about it and indirectly involved in accepting the money.

riot better not ban him cause he didnt even intent to be part of the scheme

From what a lot of streamers are saying he was threatened to send those bits to the guy or he would close their channel buy spamming huge amounts of bits

there are discord photos where they clearly said no to the guy. I don't think they're lying. The man sends them even if they don't want to.

if what you are saying is true then Cned only needs to prove that he didn't pass the percentage to have his name clear. I hope so because I'm a big fan of his gameplay

yes there is evidence. That's why I think he didn't decide to leave Acend. Many Turkish players accept their injustice and leave the team. but cned's situation is different, he didn't get involved in this on purpose.

Do ppl not realize that cned wont be banned bc it would destroy the scene? Like ik riot banned sina but his case was much more severe(if it was true)…. Like what if they just decide to ban cneds brother(who doesnt even play pro) as a stunt and i doubt riot will receive much backlash

#31

It would be even worse if he turns out guilty but Riot doesn't ban him!

#32

Im almost positive that the amount of actual evidence isn’t enough for a legal decision of guilt(not saying he def didnt do it), but I think it would be in riots best interest to follow the legal decision bc at least they have his bro to scapegoat and save their rep

Let's assume he's telling the truth. In that case, he took bits from a random dude that his brother vouched for. His brother probably said something like: "Hey little bro, expect to get a huge amount of bits from this complete stranger. Once you get the money, give some to these random strangers and streamers." And cNed doesn't ask any questions? He takes the bits no questions asked, even though it's strange to contact a streamer's sibling before donating a large amount to them? Oh yeah, and the streamer's brother just happens to be one of the middlemen for criminals? And you're giving some of the money to strangers? Doesn't add up to me lol... wouldn't you at least DM your brother to ask what's going on?

Yeah, I find it very doubtful that these guys would all be part of a network to funnel bits around from strangers to strangers and still believe that it's clean and legal. That kind of thing isn't normal at all. Again, why didn't anyone ask any questions?

Either cNed is lying or made a very stupid decision!

He must be lying, I mean c'mon how hard is it to lie and let it off ur shoulder when ur from one of the best team of eu.. I can do this too and I'm 18. It's all money man.

His case is much less severe than a lot of other pros such as Legoo or Kero but Crime is crime I doubt riot would ban him because it was kind of his brothers fault he got in this situation and also admited his wrongdoings

Also I think his brother should be punished because he got both Legoo and Kero in to this scheme and ruined their careers

Admission literally means ur guilty lmfao!!!
What less severe? If you think stealing money is less severe then I'm sorry u have serious problems. Just 1 year into the game Riot should be careful about their image, and they should definitly ban them just like they did to sintraa without any proofs which costed him esports in worlds best team.

Also age shouldn't be an excuse here.

#50

Yes there should not be a excuse here but his ban would mean the end of Acend’s run in champions and it would also devastate the Europen scene also Sinatraa’s situation is much more severe than some guy taking 1k

But I still think cNed should be punished in some way

Man, Im Respect For Cned, The Key of Team Acend. as i know he said that

“To be honest I don’t really have a statement to make about the topic because I’ve not even once messaged the bit-dude, he did not reach out to me [directly] once,” cNed said on stream as Upcomer confirmed with a translator. “He talked with my older brother… That guy sent me the bits, the bits transferred to me. I didn’t report those bits to Twitch, I acknowledge that. I didn’t report to Twitch and took the money. I repeat once again, the guy did not contact me. I acknowledge that even though I did not intend to, technically I got involved in this, unfortunately.”, Cned

i get it From

Here comes virtue signaling people saying they wouldn't take the money and they would be 500 steps ahead of their terminated channel
