Fuck Fuck Fuck
Tomorrow is the most important exam of my life- JEE Advanced.
Its so fricking difficult. just look at this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T3zc--Fbz0tFHaJq527Y_ZUyAvpOdSuM/view
Does this look like a paper for high school kids? No, right?
More than 150k high school kids give this paper in India
Fuck my life man. Fuck it.
Wish me luck

(Compare math section with that of SAT and you'll know why its the most difficult engineering exam)

(U cant clear this exam with 1 day of preparation )

Of course you can. If you paid attention in classes, it's really easy to look them up for tomorrow. (That's what I did until and after highscool/university)

It's easy peasy. GL.

ahahahahah paid attention in class, they ask shit which isnt even in the books, actual school books have about 10% of the total syllabus

They usually in classes show you something similar, even if it's not the same that you'll find on the exam paper. To see how you think and how you will be solving it.

Regarding exams in general, the type of subjects/ exercises that you'll find on the exam paper are something that you encountered during classes but you failed to see/ understand. So, if you have the basics/ fundamentals in each subject, you can solve them easily.

Oh, seriously? You're telling me that this is hard? Go and see the math exams at the university (which I have finished + masters degree), and then we can talk.

These type of math/chemistry subjects/ problems are taught in almost every high school all across Europe. So, what are we talking about?

If something like this is really hard for you, it doesn't mean that the same applies to others. (how funny that you pretend you know someone only from a few comments here and there)

is gaokao harder?

#50

they have more competition which makes it harder.

#51

gaokao is for all the students graduating high school, JEE is for those who want to pursue engineering

#59
Asphyxia

Gaokao is required so it's harder bc there are like a billion chinese smart asses. And it's to qualify you for highschool. The score you have to get is probably harder. But the actual questions are easier.

I mean why do you all want to be engineers? Is there event much money in Engineering in India? I know you can make a lot in the Middle East as an engineer because my parents were offered 220k a year + no taxes in Saudi Arabia

#24

It's a passion for some
Some get forced by their parents
Some do it to earn "respect"
There's a weird engineer/doctor obsession in india
220k saudi riyals???!?!?

Yeah he’s also got 2 degrees though. One in mechanical engineering and one in quantity Surveying. The only problem is that he’s only allowed in the Uk for 2 weeks per year or something, otherwise he has to pay 45% tax

Once you have the "IITian" tag in India , it's different. Everyone respects you , employers favour you , even getting married gets easier since families love an IITian groom
Becoming IITian basically means elevating your social status. You're different from the rest of them now , you went to the Indian Institute of Technology which has a 0.001 % success rate of getting in
It doesn't guarentee success in life but you have a higher chance than people who couldn't go there.

#36
Blazieboy
0
Frags
+

Not necessarily. 90% of IITians go to IIM for an additional degree. Most IITians end up doing a degree in another reputed college to get their title and so called social status. If you really are talking about social status then UPSC is the exam you have to go for.

#37
thanatos11

Do you really make 1m+ usd like paracosm said?

#38
Blazieboy
0
Frags
+

No. I don't think so. The best package you can receive by getting through top colleges in India is Rs. 65 lakh - 1 crore rupees and if you do manage to land a job in a foreign country the best salary you could earn is 250000 USD per year. The only possible way to earn 1 mil USD is by working for 10+ years and consecutive promotions.

#39

So it’s like other high paying jobs? Where you can make 1m+ if you’re near the very top

I mean u got the exam so you should know everything in that paper prior to your exam, even if you don't sleep. The thing you should worry about is that the exam you receive at the test time look nothing like the review paper you got.

Comparing advanced with SAT is BS , even 10th graders here can solve SAT Maths part easily , the English part is tough for indian students

#44

English part is very simple for ICSE students bro . I am giving it this december and the practice tests are simpler than my 10th boards.

well 'just on the basis of SAT' i dont think so coz American colleges emphasize more on extra curricular activities which we indians are told to avoid in our high school in order to focus on studies but yes in non IVY colleges SAT plays a major role

i have seen people getting into us college without being part of any extracurricular activities ofc it wasn't ivy league but yeah it was under top 100 engineering college in the world.
