They’ve played 4 maps total before this event no? Not 0 experience but compared to, say, the cores of teams like NRG or FNC it’s negligible

Yes their mental is good to see but the first half of your post doesnt make sense
apac qualifiers not international and they got grouped instantly at lock in and champs so they are still very new to this type of stage. especially it being an elim match and a shot a top 4, its impressive that they have taken it to a map 3 after that fracture collapse
by saying its impressive that theyve done it youre implying that theyre generally unable to do it despite playing over 10 BO5s, most in grand finals in FGC tournaments. They have had a great mental for ages and ages, they've taken maps off of teams in both champs and lockin and gone 3 maps.
What changed for them is not their mental, but their meta, comp, roleplay and teamplay. At least watch some of their APAC/CN games before saying dumb shit like this
Dont compare shit like fgc tournaments with actual stages. Eventhough there are some really good chinese teams but EDG is always the favorite to win everything. They don't get to experience real pressure. Even playing in apac franchise would be a better experience.

EDG has played a lot of bo5s in the FGC tournament finals so I guess that has payed off for them
as this is the deepest run that EDG has ever had, they have immense pressure, they have had games on the international stage, but they have always lost immediately (of the top of my head 100 thieves 2-1, liquid 2-0 in the group stage but diff tournament, prx 2-1)
