Let's say for example EDG is winning Masters Tokyo
Then we are gonna see 4 Chinese teams in the champions?

If EDG beat LOUD they HAVE to win masters.
Also it would mean LOUD will win Champions

Masters 2 0-2

2023

Why the fuck not? I don't care whether my country doesn't have an esports scene and why should I? I'm still allowed an opinion regardless where I'm from so kindly shut the fuck up.

You're actually braindead bruh. Then no one else except Chinese should complain about them having 2 slots cause its not their region. Use that same logic you rat

If they are same level with EDG i mean its excited to see, but if the other teams like ASE and FPX, man it’s such a waste

the thing is there are insane players in china but they are scattered across various teams...but EDG of course is the chinese SUPER TEAM (still they need more prac with other regions)

yea i hope the best of the best can qualify, bcs as we can see regional matches, EDG was defeated by ASE (not the latest, but few months ago) it means, everyone can perform in regional, and only EDG can perform internationally, mental and experience talk a lot here

Obviously Riot is trying to promote the game in China, and if it succeeds (which it probably will), China could be very competitive.

It's not really a question of performance, it's more a question of viewership, China got insane viewership from what I heard, and they want to promote it since League Of Legends is insanely big out there.
Of course, they also need to follow the narrative of "we put more slots for the better region", so yeah, if the Chinese scene has good performance over the year, they'll add more slots over time, but it's all about developing the local scene, putting some light on it, rather than pure performance.

We could think this way about where the Masters are, we saw Istanbul, Tokyo, all to develop and show the scene from those countries, and bring some lights to the local scene.
Because having a big event where NA is sleeping, and EU is barely waking up to go to factory, doesn't make sense from a viewership perspective.
