I've seen a lot of pickems of analysts/coaches where TL goes 0-2 in tokyo, which doesn't make any sense to me, some even would favor edg and eg over the EMEA champs using NAVI and Fut to call EMEA weak region while steal having Fnatic at least in the grand final if not winning.
If you're having Fnatic in grand final, TL is at least top 4.
I'd be happy for edg if they go deep in the tournament, but saying that liquid loses vs edg and eg and goes home as a 7-8th is straight blasphemy.

You decided to move the goalposts by saying welllll fut is not good and have to gall to say “but it’s true”, followed by a statement u hadnt even made, and wasnt what the other guy replied to. As you switched out fut and navi.

their win against FNC was not a fluke did you even watch the games? as sliggy said, it should've been 3-0 TL and they threw the lotus OT. though i agree that if chronicle played up to normal levels of play it would've been closer but TL antistratted and did some really smart midrounding that was uncharacteristic of them prior esp on fracture with just really smart default counterplay and a ton of clever setups. imo FNC and TL aren't that far apart but further than FNC and LOUD for instance.
i have my reservations about EMEA teams because they don't get to play against harbor-viper as much but i think other factors lean in favor of EMEA teams. but if they have no counter to the harbor-viper setup or don't run their own it's gonna be rough for them including FNC.
If you say Liquid scrapped their win against FUT, while beating them 3-0, then EG and DRX barely survived FUT. Also, yeah Liquid scrapped their win against NaVi, but that's NaVi. NRG, too, did scrap their win against NaVi.
Also what makes you think that Liquid never been good at lan if VCT regionals were on lan? You can say that about previous iteration of Liquid but this is completely different team with 2 international winners.
Fnatic used the split to take a break bro they said it themselves theey werent trying, even the grand final they wasnt much vaue to it cuz they already knew they made it to tokyo playoffs
the amount of strats and setups theyve been hiding since the start is whatll help them go to the grand finals of tokyo
if you look at any of their league games youd noticed that theyre running the same setups over and over and STILL beating these emea teams easily
