Need more players with big fanbase just as it happened in NA

CS is just much more popular in EU. People's parent's played cs, their children played cs. Valorant just too new. Need to get a fanbase and some history. In Turkey it's very popular though so it's looking good.

Val always need some sort of twitch drops for more views. CS is still getting nearly triple the views without twitch drops. 22 years of CS is something huh.

Valorant gets 200k+ viewers from EU every challengers despite no drops

CS in EU is really big, it's so big over there that most NA teams move there or just get a Euro roster to even compete. And, ofc, CS has been around for a while, and Valorant hasn't even been out for a whole year.

Sadly valorant is dying in EU. Only france and Turkey have picked up on it, there are many discord servers dying, almost my entire friendlist has left the game :(

in what way am i trolling? It's a fact that the playerbase has dropped drastically since release. EU is absolutely dependent on Turks.

tbh, this is true, since some of the best teams in EU could be versing and about a max of 17k viewers are watching. But, I would give it some time considering that EU isnt so quick to grow on games like KR or NA

i dont think EU will ever convert. This looks to me like the CS1.6 Vs CSS schism.

You do realize EU doesn't have to completely convert to Valorant. As long as there's a solid fanbase and Riot attracts sponsors and build incentives for orgs (which they are) then what does it matter lol. More than 1 game can exist bro. You have orgs like Vitality, G2, Fnatic, NiP, Alliance, Guild, FPX, etc etc. already in Valorant. And once Riot introduces leagues, ad revenue sharing and everything else thats attractive it'll all work out. The playerbase and talent will grow organically and there's no need to convert CS players to Valorant.

Stop trolling, learn business, and hltv is a great site for CSGO. Enjoy.

Masters finals got over 45k, what are you talking about? Are you really giving voice to this Hekzy guys? He tries so hard over here to make valorant seem irrelevant while licking CSGO's balls all the time. Just look at this dude's history in this forum and you will see that everything he says are lies to try and elevate CSGO. Pitiful.

#13

But Riot does not disclose how many players are playing, how can you say that playerbase dropped?

#14
hekzy
1
Frags

dude simple math. They disclose how many immortals are the percentage of the player base.

Immortals/Radiants in EU = 15k~
Immortals and Radiants = 4%~ of the population
15k~ times 25~ = 400-500k players. And that's being generous.

So there it is.

Also, you can see that EU teams get no viewers. Only turkish teams.

#16

Frags

''no viewers'' lmao

and 500k is pretty damn good

As I said before, as soon as famous players go to Valorant these numbers continued to grow.

You showed me that number, but to know if it's really dropping, you should show the previous numbers, right!?

#17
hekzy

previous numbers were 3 million worldwide. I'd like to believe at least a milion (since EU is the biggest playerbase) was EU's

#34

LIES, LIES AND LIES... How are 500k people a small number while CS's streamcharts has 900K from ALL OVER THE WORLD? If EU has 500k alone, Valorant has 2 million players.

Also, Immortals and Radiants are not 4%, they are at most 3%, but probably 2% of the population. If we get those numbers YOU are coming up with correctly, Valorant playerbase could be 4 million.

Next time, give us your information with the source you found it, cause I don't believe you, nor in your numbers.

Steam charts only show current players. If you take a look at cs blog articles it shows that cs has 26 million has played in the last month. Doubt Valorant has 26 million players in average every month

His numbers are lies, you can't even come close to believe that a game that has a 350k+ concurrent viewership on twitch only has 500k players around the world, you must be mental to actually believe such a thing.

If we use tracker.gg we can see that around 24 million accounts have at least played 1 game.
Actually don't think it has more than 500k EU atm. But I would love to see actual a chart from riot games.

that's the thing, we can only estimate, us the players. I think Valorant is just fine, since there are a bunch of new players who are playing the game from my expierence, and the viewer count in Valorant esports had a surge in views during January on Twitch. Its growing, but it could grow alot faster is regions like EU or KR made it big, since those are also regions that are normally very popular

Imagine a new player/gamer looking for a 5x5 tactical FPS, which game do you think he will play?
If Riot doesn't do any gigantic shit and continues to do a good job, Valorant will surpass CSGO naturally. It's only a matter of time!

Big names from CS NA have moved to Valorant EU not that much..
Also famous streamers stream and play actually Valorant why we in EU only have Scream and Mixwell ?

NA = Ninja , Myth , Shroud , Hiko , Babybay , Dazed , Tenz , Skadoodle all big streamers that also play togethers like a night night games

Have you ever been to EU it's only R6S LoL and CSGO and DOTA 2 i guess.
Plus all the scenes in said games are thriving. But not NA, NA is fucking dying in most games especially CSGO.
Also most content creators and esport orgs are in the US.

#30

Do you seriously think Well paid EU pros would leave big orgs to join Valorant.
Do you even know how fucking much EU pros are paid in CSGO.

#35

Not more than Valorant players are being paid in NA, as nitr0 has a 200k+ salary a year, maybe starts like s1mple are paid more, but that's it. When Riot makes it first "Champions" tournament in the end of the year with more than 10 million prize pool I will watch and laugh as all the CSGO pro players changes games.

#36
HLTV_Master_race

Frags

Bro we were talking about EU pros and then you burst in and start talking about something that isn't relevant to the discussion.
Also the average Astralis salary is 364.000 dollars and after they accepted lower salaries.
Face it EU pros have higher wages because they are better, and because there's more competition.
Sure NA orgs have more money, but they also don't have enough players.
Also 10 million dollars is nothing compared to DOTA 2's The International 2020 was cancled yet it had over 40 million dollars in the prize pool.
Also prize pools aren't all, just look at DOTA 2 and Pverwatch they're doing poorly and yet the gave out millions of dollars every year.

#37

But that's why Valorant is going to overtake CSGO, Valorant is building a community in all regions of the world, CSGO increasingly is just Europe, it will stay the same as LoL x Dota2 nowadays.

I Watch dota 2, it's got nothing to do with valorant two very different games, the discussion is between CS and Valorant. Ok, you are comparing the salary of an avarage Valorant player with 15k earnings with the most acomplished team of all time in CSGO, congratz.

#44
HLTV_Master_race

Bro ofc im comparring the to the best team ever in CSGO both the get my point across, but also because you started with nitr0.
What did you expect.

#47
heisback

Frags

nitr0 is an avarage player in Valorant, people are already saying that Sentinels will pay over a million dollars for TenZ.... Using nitr0 as an avarage player for comparison, this in fact elevated she salaries of the whole game, now he is a parameter, if a player better than him comes up, people will have to pay him more...

#48
greedeetv
0
Frags

The average valorant player would be gold 2 Joey over here who doesn't know or care about anything other than ranked. However, I see your point, nitr0 is the base for salaries so even if orgs aren't willing to pay that much, star players will want that much.

#56
heisback

Yes, I said "avarage" between the best teams. He is not the best of the best like TenZ, Sick, crashies, babybay, food, corey, etc.

#42

Frags

And yes, the prize pool is relevant. CSGO prize pools can get too over 1 million that atracts players, but Valorant tournaments didn't even come close to that yet, soon they will surpass it by a big margin and we will have a great migration from pros.

#45
ntnoob

You actually think someone will change their game just because there is more prize pool? hahahahahahahahaha

#46

Frags

You think not? Would you play a game that had no prize pools for winning competitions? Or would prefere playing a game that gives more than 1 million dollars every time you win?

The players prefer, the organizations prefer, big prize pools brings big sponsors, big orgs, big players and big events.

#51

You forgot the human aspect, do you seriously think Fabian is gonna switch from R6S to Valorant
Do you really think S1mple is gonna switch to Valorant just because he can have a slight pay raise.
Do you really think pros would just leave, i've seen TF2 pros stay for no reason other than they love the game, do you think they would join the shitty CSGO rip off with wonky mechanics.

#57
heisback
-3
Frags
+

No, the best of the best won't till he can't stay at the old game anymore. Why would he change games if he is the best at the one he plays? Makes no sense... Yet dev1ce himself said he could move to valorant in the future.

Prize pools brings big orgs with big salaries, little by little the players will start to move when Valorant gets bigger and CS smaller, and with time the better players will start to switch too, until the best of the best are left with no competition, no big orgs, and no big tournaments and have to switch too.

#58
HLTV_Master_race

Frags

First of all learn some proper grammar, second of all do you really think that VaLULrant is gonna slowly steal orgs and players until the CSGO scene is dead. Also even if Dev1ce does leave that would be like EU LoL pros going to NA, cashing out for a big paycheck.

#54
