Gen.G - have the funds to build a Korean super team but are probably going to build an English speaking
Talon - may not build an entirely Thai roster despite having plenty of talent to choose from
DetonatioN - took up a Japanese slot yet are building a roster around a Korean player
RRQ - large chance that they keep PH players despite being able to work with ID players from both BOOM and ONIC

GE/T1 - importing players from other regions, not awful but gives me mixed feelings

Why can't these orgs just make the right move man. Many of them would have a much larger fanbases (nationalism is big in APAC as we all know) and imo a better team if they just focused on one scene instead of trying to go for all of these mixed rosters.
It just seems like the Pacific orgs are making all the wrong moves.

in the end they fight for a trophy, a spot (whether stay or not, based on their results and performance in the league) these orgs not only thinking how they got accepted to the league but also how compete with the others and also be the king of their league. maybe they considering all of that.

i agree that at the end of the day it's about being competitive, but honestly tell me with a straight face that an RRQ with a mixed PH/ID roster will be better than an ONIC+BOOM superteam. i can just see DNG being the next CR as well, language matters a lot imo

tbf i also wanted rrq to be a full id players bcs i also think that the skills of onic and boom players is above the current rrq ph roster today, but there's a trial on the go rn until they make their decision in the oct 15. im seeing why rrq wanted to make a mixed roster of id and ph is because seeing how far a full team of id,ph and th can compete in the international tournament, if u see based on the results of how far can they reach is only 5-8th at the champions by xerxia and secret, and it was last year. the only team that can go as far and compete in the international tournament is paper rex with a mixed of sg/my/id. so imho i think thats what they were considering

GE importing talent is actually a good thing. I hate to say this but 5 man SA team can't do shit in APAC. Let alone in Brazil. So i think getting a mixed lineup is the best thing. At least in the initial phase of franchise.

i think even if they can only take top 5 the remaining 5 can still scrim in Korea and improve which is better than plying SA orgs whole day

this should be the scenario, this covers all the major regions in Sea. And all the fans will be happy.

Agreed plus DNG should be only Japanese too, they already only got 2 slots, seems a bit unfair for 1 of those teams to be built around a Korean player

This is the nature of a closed circuit league. The stakes are higher, and they can't take any chances. I'm sure teams have plans to develop native talent, but they also have one goal above all: to win. Regionality is important and I don't blame Pacific fans that are malding from the teams' decision.

But there's business decisions, and there's community decisions. GE building a 10-man roster with imports to cultivate talent and experiment their pathway for their first season — RRQ choosing to honor their previous PH lineup and giving them equal chance to succeed alongside ID players — GEN.G and DNG allowing talents from all across APAC to try join them —

Over time, I'm sure native talent will rise. Challengers will ensure they're still being developed. But for this season, let the teams find their own identity. They certainly owe to us fans, but they also have obligations to themselves.

I feel like Detonation will find itself in a tough spot, not that I doubt suggest but the roster seems like it doesn't exactly have a direction or goal.

chances are low. Since Wronski hasn't had any chance to tryout with any franchised team
