according to the latest estimate that I could find, it seems like it might be a bit higher (like half a million people) but that was from a year ago so idk what it’s like now
Update: I tried doing my own estimate using the same methodology and these were my results:
- Americas: ~3.95M
- EMEA: ~5.00M
- Pacific: ~4.35M
Not sure how accurate this is (i.e. does it only include people who were ranked this act?) but it seems like Pacific is growing the fastest at the moment.
then give 3 slots to americas and 7 to EMEA
just to see loud destroying m3c, guild, acend, g2, team botquid, and botnatic

cant they just slip one to MENA?
1 billion people live in this area and they dont give us any spot
champions is a regional tournament so they deserve a slot even they are worser than whole other regions
I don't know why this is still a question, I understand your point of view, but there are probably so many things that go in to slot distribution. If EMEA was completely dominating every event like they did last Champs, then it would make sense, but this year they have fallen off, with only FPX (twice) and Fnatic (once) making it to the top 4 over 3 events.
