not true, Indians eat lot of meat, mostly chicken and lamb. Some other meats like beef and pork are usually avoided by lot of people due to religious beliefs. But yes Indians do eat meat
Compared to other countries yes we don't eat a lot of meat. Personally I am a non veg but still 80% or more of my meals are veg.
Non-veg food is more of an occasional thing for most Indians.
It is common for people eat some sort of meat/egg in every meal they have breakfast/lunch/dinner.
India is a huge country. Depending on location variety of meat is eaten or no meat is eaten at all.
Coastal regions eat a lot o ffish, otherwise mainly chicken or lamb. North eastern India and Goa eat Beef too.
I'm on Indian origin so all I gotta say is Paneer Tikka + Butter Naan = perfection.
