EU Haters downplaying Acend

Acend won Champions 2021 but haters disregard that because Acend went through external problems after their world championship run. To reiterate what everyone glosses over:

zeek had mental health problems
kiles is from Ukraine and had families there and so he was out of it mentally as well
Bonecold was cut for problems undisclosed, most likely difference in plays etc...
Had to bring purp0 from soloq ladder in mid week to compete for a spot in Iceland.

Just because Acend is not the same and didn't make the Challengers with problems beyond their control doesn't label them as a fluke.

TLDR: Acend has accomplished the most prestigious trophy in Valorant and they represent EU without their best players coming from CIS.

People with NA education, Ukraine is not part of CIS but wouldn't matter as kiles ain't better than zeek or Cned.

I feel like its a bit different with sen they aren't really hated for reasons out of their control (mental health, family living in a country thats at war, and an IGL that sees the game differently than the rest of the team)
Sen got hate cuz Zombs was toxic towards Brazilians and honestly looked very unmotivated to play
Shazam streaming 8-10 hours when they didn't have a couch when he needs to give 200% for his team
Shazam giving a bunch of excuses like their lack of practice having nothing to do with their bad results
So they are hated for completely different reasons

still would be cheering for fnatic. Honestly speaking, if fnatic went with their full squad with braveaf and derke, they couldve won this masters, and i would rate them above fpx. But thats just me, they did get grouped but as someone who has watched all the EMEA challengers matches, it was my opinion. Oh well

I love zeek shame he was going thru sum. And its now proven how bad these issues can affect a team because V1 similarly showed a huge drop in quality because of zellsis’ issues recently.

As much of a hard time I give acend, they were going through tough times. It’s unlucky, kinda like v1 rn. They will comeback stronger for the fans!

You realize they lost not 1 but 2 matches against VK?
You realized it would be a completely different bracket run if the brazilian team wasnt robbed?
You realize in the grand final versus GMB dispite winning 3-2 they lost in the sum of total rounds (53-54), which is also an indicator that they were completely dominated by GMB

gambit were better than acend and should have won champions
but acend were on a hot streak and won
i believe gambit are still the best in the world eventhough they didnt make reykjavik

what international fans don't realize GMB was never a hard opponent for Acend not saying they're better it's just the fact that Acend had no problems against gmb since long ago

the new acend roster looks hot and ready to win, id still say theyre one of the best EU teams (most accomplishments and were pretty consistent throughout 2021) especially considering they have no CIS players lol, hope they bounce back
