Lets say we have a hypothetical 32 team format for champions, what do you think the slot distribution would be?

mine would be:
EMEA: 6
NA: 6
APAC: 6
BR: 4
JP: 4
KR: 4
LATAM: 2

32 teams would be too much
20 or 24 teams is the best

Emea and Na would literally have half of their t1 orgs competing LMFAOOOO
Great idea but would severely downgrade the competition

Although Zeta Division is looking good right now, there aren’t many great teams in Japan. I would only give 2 slots to Japan

EMEA: 2
NA: 2
APAC: 6
BR: 2
JP: 2
KR: 2
LATAM: 2

More teams and APAC bottom 2 will just farm so less team

Not really: Gambit, Fnatic, Team Liquid, G2, FPX are ready already. And then you have Guild and Acend who have a lot of potential and could be top of EMEA next stage and Guild already is kind of. Especially when hearing how they did in scrims.

Irrelevant thread. Any out of the teams that I named would be competitive in internationally level. I'm not saying all of them would win, but I don't think any of them would go without winning a map or game tbh. Especially if every region gets multiple slots.

no shot they will ever do 32 teams for two reasons, the competition would be severely downgraded (4 korea teams? 6 NA teams? 6 APAC? the only two regions who you could maybe possibly justify the slots you’ve allocated are EMEA and Brazil). the other issue would be time. the current masters is 12 teams and is a 2-week tournament. if they wanted to have 32 teams it would take at least a month and be boring by the end or it would be a terrible format like single elimination the whole way which could be interesting but realistically very bad.

Champions with 24 teams is enough:

EMEA: 6 (1 of them by LCQ)
NA: 4 (1 of them by LCQ)
APAC: 3
BR: 3
KR: 3
JP: 2
LATAM: 1

1 LCQ: APAC/KR/JP
1 LCQ: BR/LATAM

Poor Latam still gets 1 seed in a 24 team tournament
