Lots of people are blaming the inconsistency behind teams as a result of "low skill ceiling" or random game" this is not true. A majority of Valorant's skill depends on anti-stratting. This explains why we see so many back and forth swings in rematches between teams (guard vs optic, optic vs xerxia) and is also the main reason why teams have a below 50% win rate on their own map picks. This essentially makes it impossible for one team or region to dominate the game for extended periods of time (no repeat masters winners) because the teams at the top get a massive disadvantage from the increased scrutiniy>

I mean there is way more ceiling in terms of abilities and teamwork. It's just that FPS games are SHOOTERS not Mobas. The reason they are a spectacle are because of the massive feats of aim/precision. I think that's where it's lacking, and that's why highlights are boring (4ks, 5ks). Personally the only highlights I enjoy are very cool setups and executes.

I mean did you see yay's headhunter on Icebox vs TGRD? I'd say that's a feat of precision.
