some people say that Japan should be given a chance and that they bring a lot of viewers. other people say they're bad and that turkey also brings a lot of viewers and should be given the slot instead. why not make it fair then. since tk have to compete with emea teams, make jp compete with kr for the masters spot

People don't seem to understand that JP doesn't deserve a direct slot and that it has to be merged with another region since you kill the scene by giving them direct slots, not by merging them. And anyone who says that JP deserves the direct slot is just a delusional fanboy who ignores the results of giving JP direct slots, which is a single win in 4 international tournaments
You all need to take a chill pill. Same situation with NA league of legends. They come to worlds every year, we know the results before they go in, but it doesn't matter. Fans cheer, people are on hopium that this year will be different but it never is. It is a fun experience for the community, same as it is for the Japanese fans. You need so set your priorities straight with your "delusional fanboys" and "killing the scene" talk, and realize that you do more damage to the esport than that JP slot does.
Lmfao me saying that a region who hasn't been given the chance to improve is a bad thing, ruins the esport more than the actual problem? Who gives a shit they will still cheer, it doesn't make up for the lack of competitivness that will eventually become too frustrating even for the most die hard fans and the rightful resentment the other fans will have since the overall competitive level is getting drowned by regions like JP
