Who will dominate Valorant?

in CSGO the region that dominated was Europe and at the moment it's also EMEA for Valorant. But Valve and Riot are two different companies so I think Riot would want the scene to be more competitve and cater to Asia. So at the moment EMEA is the best but I feel like as years come to pass the competition will get a lot higher and this game won't be dominated by one region. Any thoughts?

yep because meta is not stagnant

Cs doesn’t have a stagnant meta but regions like EU were always a step ahead of other regions just due to mindsets. Imagine how much better the NA scene could have been in Cs if more players put winning over egos and reputations rather than the 15-20 or so players that did.

EU is better because they have a way larger pool of players, which means a larger talent pool.

Yes and no.
Na has always held themselves back because the region has scuffed mindsets. Players cared more about their egos and reputations rather than focusing on winning. Plenty of na players individually who could have been Good t1 pros. Until that changes I don’t see consistent success. It’s more of a problem in na Val now instead of Cs.

I think the different cultural stuff between na vs other regions could be some reasons as well. I know here in NA, things like internet cafes and so on are unheard of but are everywhere in Europe. Kids like m0nsey been playing Cs since however young and hit lvl 10 at 12. I didn’t play my first real pc game till late 2016. We live in a very console dominant region and that’s mainly what I played growing up.

emea aways on top no doubt. probably some teams from other regions can rival them but as a whole i think emea will always be the best

Apac is too isolated to be at the top imo, sea did well at champs but I feel like it's the same situation as apac, kr looks strategic but doesn't have it quite yet, latam 2 team region. emea is better atm, but both emea and na are constantly improving. It's basically an armsrace between na and emea
Edit: br sucks but furia would beat gamb0t

EMEA will be always at least top 3 easily

The rest might shift depending on meta and teams, too soon to tell

most tactical fps in general keep EMEA, NA and Br alternating at the top, with EMEA being the most constant and victorious of the 3, IN MY OPINION valorant won't be that different from that, although Brazil at the moment is a little below NA and EMEA well above, there will come a point that will standardize as in cs and r6.

I would say SEA since they have an amazing attacking half. Their defense though? utter dogshit.

I want to believe that Brazil will be good just like in CS/Rainbow Six but I'm losing hope to be honest

compared to CS, there's a lot more APAC support by riot but I don't think they're at the level EMEA is just yet. in time, maybe.

I think if it gets popular in China when it officially releases, they might end up being serious competitors for EMEA

There is Indeed more support for the Asia scene in Valorant but I don’t know how much of a difference it will make. In example in CS, countries like Korea never were interested in the game for various reasons. Was always a very small scene. China has always had a big casual scene but small pro scene. Although Cs was big in china, games like crossfire were even bigger.

Riot may want the scene to be more competitive and cater to Asia but it will only happen if the teams and players get better (certainly can happen). EU is just different when it comes to pro scenes in games. For example I don’t see NA being number 1 till the scene has a mentality change. That is the thing that has held back NA in almost every game. EU is successful because they treat it like a 9-5 job or how athletes treat their career. Things like metas can play into it as well.

i think EMEA in general will stay on top. Of course there will be upsets however. I also think this game is less EMEA dominated than CSGO, where teams from all regions have showed they can stand up there with the best.

APAC will probably be the biggest rival against EMEA in the near future.
