thats what they get for putting hyeoni on the bench. put hyeoni on chamber, move exy to initiator/fill , drop jeonghi, move intro to smokes (from what ive seen on the kr valorant videos, intro communicates a lot so probs igl as well)

drop jeonghi...??? talking a lot and igl is 2 different thing. and if I'm not mistaken jeong hi is their igl for now, with exy having a bit of experience as an igl

i know jeonghi is the igl but does that mean hes immune from getting dropped? they look worse than when secret was igl despite the talent on the roster. none of their plays are cohesive and clean and are instead all scrappy and relies heavily on texture frags. sure then, exy can igl since he has the experience because regardless their current roster lacks leadership and chemistry

i would bring in eugene if jeong hi is being dropped. some ppl are overrating hyeoni including u and its just absurd at a certain point. also, solo have literally recruited hyeoni while in NU, and hyeoni did not make the cut for the roster this time. If jeong hi is being dropped, Eugene should be first or a new player coming in.
*like I've said, you can't just say "so probs igl" just because a player talks a lot bruh

hyeoni had 1 good map in his career and everyone thinks now he is a god player

exactly. I mean he was alright in nuturn but still, ppl rate him too much. I literally followed the entire scene from the start and saw MANY players being hyped up and ending up as an average player

u dont average the highest acs in the whole of korea by having 1 good map lol. and like i said below, overrated or not damwon is in need of a consistent fragger other than texture as everyone else is inconsistent af

it doesnt matter if hes overrated or not, hes still an upgrade. and him not making the cut isnt an argument lmao, saya didnt make the cut for t1 but we all know now he was better than everyone on that roster. and whether u like it or not, communication is vital as an igl and that man is not communicating! and whether or not behind the scenes he is, it is clearly not working.

how is he an 'upgrade' if he didn't play since last year's APAC lcq? "saya didn't make the cut for t1" lmao T1 just messed up by putting him on omen. Eugene literally filled for almost every agent during main event and playoffs due to covid problem so you can't blame him on the acs, he was literally sixth member like lakia (but worse since he was not going to take part in the active roster if its not an emergency case like covid.)

bruh eugene averages like 120 acs lol. and his usual role is already filled by esperanza.

I have no problem with damwon changing their roster or what they are going to do with the roster but seeing you rating hyeoni so highly is just funny asf. Bail also said that exy told him he was good as a sentinel before, and even if you move exy to initiator/flex, i would go for Harry(who is literally orgless) instead of Hyeoni.

#17

whats also funny is you rating jeonghi and eugene above hyeoni lmao. and players like harry may choose any org of his choice so its uncertain, whereas hyeoni is literally signed so im talking about roster changes with the pieces they already have.

if u are just looking at acs and comparing players you are just delusional. hyeoni got his crazy acs playing for dfr, who played more relying on individual brilliance. yes hyeoni COULD be a better player but if he was so good, why didn't he pop off in NU? you giving so much trust and praise to hyeoni is just overrating him so much.

nu was a 4 game sample space on a new team. like i said earlier saya didnt pop off in t1 and was often placed in another role, which is almost identical to hyeonis situation dont u think? and the reason why im emphasising acs is because what dk lacks is firepower. every time texture dies its pretty much a round loss. compare other tier 1 teams in korea. ons and drx have all 5 players who can step it up and get multikills. can u say the same about dk other than maybe exy and esper (who r both inconsistent as of this stage)?

and what makes you think hyeoni can be as good as he was (hopefully he is) in challengers "open qual" and "group stage"? even if he is as good, being consistent after taking such a long break in a different role (chamber) can be difficult. NA has tons of tourny for saya to melt into the team but for hyeoni who is inactive, it could be hard for him to adapt.

this my last reply to wtv your opinion is:

  1. there are no promises to whether hyeoni will even be as explosive as he was when he is not on jett.
  2. we don't know if he can adapt or not.
  3. more firepower is not what they need. if you want a good igl, they need to bring one in because as of now, jeong hi is the igl but he is not the main igl like Redgar, vanity, boaster etc. Damwon has no MAIN order.
  4. you said yourself that ranza seems to be out of place and mention of chemistry. the roster might just need more time to be flexible in terms of chemistry.
  5. yes hyeoni can be good and i hope he is since he is a Korean lad but just don't get your hopes up.

have a good day mate.

yes it could be something to try it out but don't you think solo and eraser already tried out with hyeoni and the reason he is not even in the active roster is because he did not fit well? at this point, its like saying "bring back sinatraa".
or
it could work, but if it did, they would have at least made him a sub player, not omitting him from the active roster. he is in rio agency now anyway so he might be lft, no one knows

his acs this season was:
raze: 259 (won)
jett: 194 (won)
brim: 122 (lost)
sova: 125 (won)
astra: 162 (won)
and do you even know experanza was originally a sentinel? so idk where u are coming from with this hyeoni bias lmao

#18

yeah because eugene will totally play duelist lmao so what is even the point of bringing his duelist acs up. and what point r u trying to make with esperanza being a sentinel in the past.

#25

im saying that esperanza can move to sentinel to fit your kind of roster and eugene can go back to sova

#20
jimjam789

all im saying is dk need a consistent fragger other than texture which is where hyeoni comes in. jeonghis igl is not good enough to excuse his poor performance and could probably be replicated by other players on the team like exy and intro. but since texture already fills the duelist role and exy can fill quite well, hyeoni can slot into the chamber role. tldr its not a hard concept to grasp that mechanically this lineup is better, and u can only go up from the dumpster fire which was dk's strats

how can u be so sure that hyeoni can frag well and even adapt to playing chamber so easily with just stats from last year's vct. His performance with NU was mediocre, compared to his stats from challengers. i never said that jeong hi can be excused just because he is an igl, i am just so flabbergasted that you are making hyeoni look like the "final" key to damwon's success which is not. would rather bring in harry than to play hyeoni

#28

like i said harry getting signed is an uncertainty. hyeoni is literally signed rn. im not saying hyeoni will make them beat drx, but is it not an immediate improvement? nu was a sample space of liek 4 games or something on a team he just joined so its understandable, and he was on skye half the time. obviously we dont know if he would fit chamber, but hes not a complex agent at all and almost every jett main who now plays chamber (yay, leaf, buzz, the list goes on) is finding success so i dont see why hyeoni cant.

Always bottom of top tier Korea.
Maybe they're too predictable and always get countered in Playoffs?
Or they're just too slow to adapt to new meta's.

they def have it in them, just missing something. and here im getting flamed because i think a bench player whos previously known for the highest acs, is a better choice than the consistent bot fragger with mediocre igling. rofl

From your threads, you seem to love players who had a brilliant tourny. Lakia is doing good in japan but if you are talking about hyeoni (i think he was 2nd behind t3xture) man idk nt fr

thats not why. They couldnt adapt to solos new playstyle. Trust me on this they just need more time. They look so stiff

true players like esperanza look so out of place in terms of chemistry. but i dont see why adding more firepower would hurt esp now since the seasons over and perfect chance to reformulate everything
