Title is partially misleading because they dont dominate per se but i wanted to make this point:

Their brazilian/south american rosters are always valid. And this is the second time a sa roster wins champs, or third time just a lan tournament. on the flipside apac has had multiple good rosters (DRX, NS, somewhat T1, PRX, GenG) but never sniffed champs execpt once in 2023

And i think one major factor is their mentality. These guys mentality is made out of fucking bedrock. Erde loses his mother (RIP) and Darker his dog (RIP) but they still play perfect valorant and win the entire thing. At the same time we have the rage gods turks which go to every international to have a decent run and then throw it all away because some tiny thing happens. Or Tiltkin runs t1 down the drain. Or alecks gimmickrages and prx choke out. All americas team this tournament had incredible mental and came back a lot of games. But whenever it was any other team it looked like they just gave up midgame and already accept the defeat

Am i hallucinating things or can anybody agree?

Brazil and South America have a long history in CS. Where events and money circulation in the scene decreased, they found other outlets with Valorant.

Much like why NA, South America, and Pacific excel. Majority of their younger talent moved to Val, instead of staying in the older games that have a lower barrier of entry.

EU/EMEA are still heavy on the CS side.

It's also why Brazil are dominating Siege. Deep history in FPS titles and investment into the scene.

Ignoring the title, I think it's about not only mentality, but adaptation, and that extends to NA best teams too. Even with NRG sticking to their solely gameplan, they adapted to this new metagame of dual flex players. Even with a nerfed Neon (still a godly agent tho), Americas teams know how to use her and knew how to adapt not only to use Chamber (brought back because of buffs), but bring back Yoru (still nerfed).

And obviously, each team has it's own traits. Loud has the best Sage of the world, brought back a double sentinel gameplan and a hell of a player in IGL; G2 still has a very good roster, even sometimes underperforming and have a gameplan very hard to counter; NRG with their unique gameplan, still are a good team tho; 100T are in good shape, Cryocells is amazing, Asuna found himself in Phoenix (best of the world IMO), Vora is a good IGL and Bang always underestimated.
