Wtf, the earliest available classes at my uni are 8:30am
mine starts at 8 bro and I have nothing else to do but wake up at 5 cuz 4h commute in otal
4h commute??? lowk impressive to be able to be that far from uni
just sleep earlier ig
I have to study a lot man :<
no dormitory options? 4 hours is insane and at that point i would just dorm
mom won't let me go I think im gonna buy some pillows and start sleeping on the streets from now
u dont live in a dorm??? 4h commute is fucking crazy i wouldnt survive that
(i dont think its possible to survive that)
mom won't lemme dorm :< we do plan on moving near uni soon
ok thank god, for now just thug it out ig, if u told me u had to wake up at 5 am for a 4h commute for the rest of ur uni years id deadass say either move or dropout
no no by 4h commute it means 2h commute so I do 4h in total 2h to go 2h to come back
2h commute is still ridiculous
yea painful
2H is still fucked i already get hella pissed when i had to do a 1.5h commute each trip
yeah well nth I can do
bro just move somewhere nearer to school why you doing this to yourself
mom wont let me until january
Strict parents in Russia is a rare sight
im not russian sadly, I js use the flag to support kyousuke and donk pretty much
sleep 9-10pm do able?
I have to study everyday :(
aw , good luck . really tough tho during uni
How do you commute btw...can't you study during that
Get rid of all social interaction sleep at 7pm sharp 1 hr screentime daily 6 hours studying
I can't sleep at 7pm sharp I have studies to do my classes end at 6pm and I go home by 8pm
Sleep at 8:30 then
drop out of uni and become a trading coach.
ig vro
I thought 8ams were bad what kinda fuck shit they got you on in Russia
he's actually Canadian
so many fake flagger noobs infesting this site
And for Russia too like the fuck are we doing fake flagging the Russians
I live in Canada,
I have 8am classes and I have to wake up at 5 and do a 2h commute to barely reach classes in time :<
I mean you chose a university with a 2h commute surely you prepared to go to bed early so you can get a good 7-8 hours
sleeping is overrated
bro's gotta be going to school in the gulag
but ig like there's no such thing as a good sleep schedule in uni, you learn to live off of like 2 hours of sleep
I do that
no caffeine and don't take naps longer than 20 minutes (power naps are good for you)
Bump because I start in 2 weeks
willkommen in der holle
At least I start later than everyone else 😭
try 730AM to 9PM classes with 2-3hr commutes.
if you feel really tired when you reach home, don't fight it off. the more you do the later you'll wake up. you need every ounce of sleep you can get, go study in the morning.
don't play a long game of val. go quickplay. gaming is for weekends.
uni scheds could get worse, not just a simple 8-6pm in your case
ah cant my classes start at 8am only option, I also don't play any games at all
You are going to adapt by yourself, first month is going to be an adaptation one and the one that you are going to suffer the most (when we talk about sleeping ofc) you are going to get used to it eventually
I should sleep on the streets
being homeless in like any canadian city is not for the faint of heart, friend
that just excites me more to go homeless rather than commute tbf
bro its coming up on winter...
I also have classes till 6 so I mean there really is nothing much I can do, now imagine my exams which start from 6:30 and lasts for 2 hours
thats brutal although i think sometimes exams will happen in the middle of the day because you shouldn't have class on exam days
I mean time's not really indicated but that's what the seniors mentioned so I'll take their word
i guess depends what school
ah I go tmu
Try to study in/in between classes maybe? I feel like I get like 90% of my studying in that time period, but I don't do 4 hours commutes for a 8 am so idk
I have 4-5 classes in a row almost everyday (lec, lab tut), my seniors took a look at my list and said, what the hell is this bullshit schedule
Basically what you do is one weekend you commit to only doing assignments and homework and get super far ahead so you don't have to do work for like a week or two. Or you can do the procrastination method where you wait until sunday afternoon to work and turn in everything.
Also if the class has optional attendance and is a class that you know the info won't ever apply to your degree and is easy enough you don't have to really pay attention then just go to the class like once a week for important info and skip it the rest of the time.
fun fact all my classes pretty much optional attendance except for labs and tut
im gonna be honest, 4h commute is NOT sustainable at all. something needs to change fast
I know, I'll do my best
Considering you gonna move near the uni in Jan until then u gotta sleep at like 10 to wake up at 5 with good sleep hours so basically for the next few months just cut stuff out
I will try but I have a lot to study you know
Ideally u come back by 8.00 , so ideally how much studying do u want/need to do after coming home?
I review everyth
Learn teleportation magic...I guess
BROOOO teach me pls
i'm sorry
how do you have 4-5 classes everyday + study everyday?
did you decide to do that or did you need to do that?
I don't have 4-5 exactly but somedays usually 3 classes
like on monday I have 8 hours of math
4h lec and 4 labs
Most I ever had to do was take the u 4h commute is rough
there's nothing we can do
this is just bad life planning at this point. 4x2 hour commute , a third of your life is commuting, wp bro ur a beast
not 4x2 but 2x2 = 4
Hectic clg timings in russian uni lol
is your commute by bus or train? if so, try to study on the bus or train by doing things like textbook readings there. go to sleep early, probably like 9pm. its more productive to study a little bit less each day and get 8 hours of sleep than to study more and not get any sleep (with no sleep, your brain retains less information). make your studying more efficient so you can spend less time and get the same amount of learning in; spread your studying out, dont do all of your reading or assignments for a given class on one day, spread it out over the course of the week; this lets you retain more information and build stronger neural pathways
You don’t
People say they get no sleep but that's only because they don't plan properly, never sacrifice sleep especially in Uni, study for the entire day if need be but always get proper sleep
