After 2021 - Mbappe special

if he gets top 2 at champs maybe but he has practically 0 results for over three years
longevity is everything

if bonkar wins again he'd be the best coach undoubtedly

so far the only ppl with arguments to be up there is alecks, and i don't see anyone else contending for it

what is with you and having the most outrageous takes

i'll be a bit more open-minded this time but i truly don't understand how u can say that

mini won twice, yes, back to back, yes, but after that, what did he do? and can you truly attribute, MOST of the success fnatic had in 2023, IF ANY, to him? you realize the absolute generational superteam that it was at the time right

in this game IGL's do the heavy lifting in the game. coaches can only do so much with their systems and what not and before the superteam they hadn't accomplished really anything and mini had those years to build a "system" or be successful

bonkar, however, comes in, 2025, wins champs within 4-5 months lmao

(alecks is self-explanatory)

no super team, arguably some players could be upgraded on NRG

there is an argument to be had there but i personally dont think like ethan anyone only ever doing well at 2 (or in the other case 3) events is good enough to be the goat of a game, even if it is 2 champs, on the other hand mini has extreme consistency over multiple years, same with alecks

yeah i guess ur right i mean it'd be a bit wild for me to not include mini in the conversation. what i should've said was i just don't see mini as a stronger contender than alecks, or potentially bonkar with a 2nd champs win (within the span of a year which is wild)

PRX became insane right after Mini joined, and Alecks has said that mini was very helpful

#20, it was wrong for me to say that ur take is outrageous even if i do think it's wrong still, mini's in the conversation but i still don't see him being better than alecks

Alecks also has the extra stress of dealing with the least disciplined players in history lmao

A human being just said that "mini is the goat coach" is an outrageous take, when it is literally the most common opinion. And give me more of my "outrageous" takes. Most of my opinions are pretty common ones

EDIT: You just got 3 downvotes in like 2 seconds, and im the one with "outrageous" opinions

i feel like your argument is very contradictory, you say igls do it all in the game and coaches can only do so much, but bonkar made ethan look like a good enough igl to win champs in 3 months? like

alecks definitely not close to goat coach, losing three grand finals with map veto advantage should remove you from such talks

it's not contradictory at all lol ethan was a terrible igl before bonkar came in, and from then on with that system NRG won

boaster was a good IGL with or without mini and mini made no noticeable difference over hte course of 2020-2023. boaster came 2nd in reykavik, and then nothing until the superteam came on. so the superteam did it, not mini. mini had like 3 years

alecks is the most consistent coach of all time with the most valor and i mean ur not wrong about the losing 3 grand finals but that's still better than not making any at all, like what happened with mini several several times

i feel like it’s not really a far stretch to say that a big reason boaster had that big stretch (and later good base without mini) is because of how long they worked together. Even before going b2b in 2023 fnatic were still performing consistently when they didn’t have subs.

the game is too young for “goats” at any position, and i think coaching has the biggest disparity because of how few events there are. plus the consensus goat coach has been retired for years by now, and until someone like bonkar wins a bit more no one is ready to convincingly usurp the throne

do u not think 2 champs back to back, as well as a #3 at santiago, within the span of a year, wouldn't put bonkar in that conversation? that baffles me, if so, and i'm aware longevity matters but still recency is also important, considering how much more complex the game has become just in the last couple years alone compared to what most ppl refer to as the "plumber era" in the past
