genuinely how is the rating gap this big, it makes 0 sense on a statistical level
jawgemo: 1.13
317 acs, 22/16/5, 90% kast, 213 adr, 4x 3k rounds and a 1v1 clutch
boni: 1.43
335 acs, 22/19/6, 80% kast, 213 adr, 2x 3k, 1x 4k

i'm not sure exactly how VLR rating is weighted but i know for 100% sure it has always been weighted towards less deaths. there's virtually zero difference in advanced statistics, weighing multi kills and clutches. the only significant difference is fk/fd but that has usually never been a big factor in rating anyways. either way 18 acs is nowhere near a large enough gap to make that big of a rating difference

It’s the first deaths, getting a first death is like committing a war crime according to the rating formula

that would make sense but it's still stupid af that it creates that big of a difference in rating. jawg literally had a 90% kast anyways which means at absolute worst, assuming both rounds he did nothing were the ones with first deaths, he got traded on 2 of them which still means he had impact even if he didn't find the kill.
