How do yall think T1 teams in Americas will go about their rosters with the new Roster rules (2 imports MAX and the new regions)? Here are some suggestions I think would kinda make sense, idk.

LOUD

  • Tunaso -tkzin (loan end)
  • Melser -DaviH (Import rule)
  • Erde
  • Darker
  • Lukxo

KRU

  • tkzin -dante
  • mwzera
  • less
  • saadhak
  • heat

FURIA
(Apparently they are bringing C0M, still they gotta do another transfer cuz they are probs gonna get rid of eeiu (wtf?) )

  • exa(??) moose(??) - shy(??) (man istg Furia gotta fix those issues or sum cuz im genuinely clueless with this)
  • C0M - eeiu (Man, istg)
  • koalanoob
  • basic
  • artzin

Every other team follows next years regulations (I'm not taking contract endings and shi rn, cuz I did this mostly for fun lol)
Edit: I just realized exa doesn't even work so Maybe moose instead

Lol probably not, but they are the partner teams rn so I wanna see how they adapt to try and stay relevant in the game while not being able to maintain their whole roster.

from what nandoshow said, there wont be an affiliate system in 2027, so teams will have to maintain a core from their own region consequently, KRU will not be able to have three brazilians, and LEV will have to drop either sato, spike or blowz
also FUR will have to have 3 Br

Only 1 BR on Loud? They need to have at least 3 next year because of the rules. Same on Kru, they need at last 3 Latam players, and get rid of one brazilian

What are the changes? Would even a NA player on a brazilian team be considered an import now?

Even if they aren’t partnered they’ll still probably field teams next year

ok so, I re read the official Riot release and it doesn't really say anything about Orgs not being able to get out of their country of origin, so in theory, Loud could say "Hey we actually wanna play in south LATAM" and Riot are gonna say "ok". Only thing that they talk about in terms of rosters, is the fact that team continuity has to happen for a team to keep its points, so yknow, maintain a core of 3 players all throughout the year.

Still tho, this feels like an extra pain in the ass for LATAM teams. The same is happening in Pacific and them having like 6 regions or so.

My guess is, only 2 brazilian teams will be chosen to partner teams. And probably will be Loud and Mibr/Los (They are the same org now)

My guess on the lines:

Loud:

Lukxo - Sentinel
Erde - Smokes (IGL)
Tkzin - Duel (They will buy him next year, for a lot of money)
Blowz - Scan
Darker - Flex

Mibr/Los:

Aspas - Duelist (If he stays)
Mwzera - Scan
Mazino - Smokes
Artzin - Sentinel (IGL)
Zanatsu - Flex

If Aspas don't stay:

DGZ - Duel
Basic or Mwzera - Scans
Artzin - Sentinel (IGL)
Zanatsu - Flex
PHC - Smokes

I believe Leviatan will keep Sato and Spike, Kru will keep Heat and Less. Sentinels will keep Cortezia.

Yes, but then Loud will need to compete with Kru and Leviatan to get the slot

Well if kru are gonna gamble for the whole Brazilian squad like they have rn, then it would be like them swapping between regions and thus Loud still get a partner spot. Imo, the region that's gonna lose the most partner spots is def NA so maybe not so much worry for BR and LATAM.

No, 2027 import rules will be diferent. They'll be on sub regions. Brazilian teams only can have 2 players that are not brazilians, including Latam. So, a player from Apac, and a players from NA have the same rule, all imports. The sub regions in Americas are: Brazil, Latam, NA

Only right now, but due to this: https://valorantesports.com/es-MX/news/no-guaranteed-paths-inside-the-new-vct-2027 (its in spanish cuz I think the EN one got taken down for some reason). Regions will get smaller and thus a ton more players will count from different regions and thus imports (In Louds case rn: Erde would be from LATAM south; Darker would be from LATAM north; and tkzin and lukxo from Brazil). Although to give some more breathing space to orgs Riot has allowed a maximum of 2 Imports from other regions (In America's case, the regions would be: Brazil, LATAM north, LATAM south and NA)

But would these players be willing to live in Brazil? Like Koala, who has a wife and daughter?

I do think Loud are all in when talking about buying tkzin, the problem is if Kru are gonna let that happen.

If I aint wrong, in this scenario FURIA would opt to play in NA instead of BR (which from what I understand is allowed), this means that Koala would probably not need to move out of Canada.

Loud is definitely buying Tkzin if they make champs.
And DaviH is staying, why would he stay? Latam players don't count as imports so DaviH wouldn't be in conflict

Again, why wouldn't Fúria keep Shyy? Latam players don't count as imports

"but the new subregion rule" Riot already said rosters will be grandfathered in

I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Brazilian teams, especially Furia, have visa issues because of this.

Yeah, but next year academy teams will vanish. So, they'll need to sell them, or put them on bench

Leo said the grandfathering would only apply to partner teams. Idk if Furia could get the slot, Loud could probably do it tho. In that case it would make sense to keep DaviH if they are able to somehow buy tkzin.

Yea but Furia's roster rn is basically already mostly NA rn, Basic and Artzin would be the only one's with those issues and even then I think Furia would still opt to make a plan B in case those issues were to happen than staying in BR.

I'm a bit skeptical that all the BR/LATAM teams currently in the VCT will stay in NA. It's really expensive, and they're far from their fans.

I haven't read up on exactly how this new system will work, but if it's anything like how it works in LoL, I think some organizations will be interested in staying in their home countries.

A former CEO of MIBR has said that the CBLOL was even more profitable than Valorant and CS.

I think Furia is the only one actively considering that option. They are the BR team that imo, has the least amount of chances of making partnership, and has a primordially NA roster. MIBR is probably getting grandfathered and depending on how Loud manage the tkzin situation and if they get partnership, then they also wouldn't need with all the bs that involves moving from a region to another.
