after choking bangkok, they are constantly getting firepower diffed, questionable map vetos and comps, now they’re struggling to find their identity on top of all those issues mentioned above
especially in this meta where macro isn’t as prevalent in previous metas… g2 are in for a tough time
yepp also doesnt help the fact they are forgetting who they are you can add palystyle cant go away from the core like prx added playing slow but their core is the same and their late round scenarios in stage 1 winning clutches create a event come back was good didnt see tht quite a lot
and micro talking abt tht i remember frost saying pacific teams are better because players understad personal micro qutie a lot nrg ns lev are great eg for tht and if you have good personal micro your macro is always godd.getting a new coach like frost might just be the solution ( they might be too tunneled vision smone a lil diff no other changes might be it.)
also g2 firepower diff is quite a crazy take.
they're supposed to be a macro-heavy prep team but they haven't had a good understanding of the meta or even their own map pool since bangkok. They've always been playing some dumb shit or just copying other teams and playing inferior versions of their comps plus their map vetos are terrible
i would say vyse read was quite good in london like they played bad vs xlg on split playing retake both site cant balme on coaches for tht.
and i think they ight just be questioning themselves too hard i think vyse harbor astra they had the best breeze in the world didnt see a reason too change the comp getting a new coach like frost might just be the solution no other changes they might be too tunneld vision
The aim diff is just ridiculous at these events, they purely lost to NS twice off of getting aim diffed. Macro is so overrated at an international level, most teams understand what the other team is doing and it usually falls down to micro
well they are trying to go for tht micro has gotten better than last year i would say in london and ewc micro was better than macro trying to shift too much from wht they really are might just be the problem they should add other playstyle but their core playstyle should be the same
