Players sign contracts with the Orgs, I don't think it's crazy that it includes a clause that specifies mandatory participation in the tournaments of the Org's choosing. esports organizations are in for the wrong reasons? esports is barely profitable if at all some organizations are just for investments (The Guard, FlyQuest) are able to not participate because they could offset the cost. The ones that aren't are probably more likely to want to play in EWC so they can sustain themselves. If the players really didn't want to play EWC no matter the money a tweet would probably be enough but your favourite pro probably doesn't care enough 😭
