Additional factors I can think of: Valorant viewership has declined in 2026 (less ppl watching this esport), FIFA World Cup 2026 is going on at the same time, and I feel as if there was less advertising for this event. FNS and Tarik are not streaming the event this time (very important factor).

can you guys think of any other reason why EWC 2026 is so much worse in viewership than EWC 2025?

People didn’t care much about it then and they care less about it now

Wasn’t being costreamed as much then or now, timezone is more favorable, matches are fun, event is more hype due to french org attendance, yet still lack of viewership

it was a new event in 2025 and new people watched to see what it was about, they realized this actually doesn’t matter and they opted not to watch this year

the strongest team wasn't there (LEV), PRX not trying at all, and EDG playing with a coach

last year EWC we saw GEN, FNC and PRX (the best team from Toronto) at least trying
