WHY NO MAKE A MASTRES LIKA A CS MAJOR??

I don't get why they always make 12 teams tournaments, it's genuinely horrible. Could they not make a 24 or 32 team tournament with different swiss and no fkn byes to playoffs directly to ensure there are no fluke wins in region and then 0-2 flops

because val is shitty and its only redeeming factor is that there is actual good chinese teams unlike in cs

It's probably because of Franchising, there's just so much they can "afford".

CS gets a huge injection of money because of sponsors since they are not as restrictive as RIOT is with their sponsors, if RIOT were full game on their competitive they would do probably better.

I hope 2027 it's better though.

Kids game loves the spectacle, in CS one match ends the other begins and there are multiple streams so you can have like 20+ matches in a day, in Valorant 3 matches a day is the absolute max

They don't want to have two broadcast streams at the same time in order to have viewership focused on one stream. That's why these international always have low team count, otherwise it would go on to long if they did 32 teams with one stream, and not have two matches happening at once.

Its already a 48 team tournament

Just how CS splits their major into (for this event) 4 stages, this is 4 stages
6*8 round robin -> 8*4 double elim -> 8 swiss -> 8 double elim
compared to (using current major)
16 swiss -> 16 swiss -> 16 swiss -> 8 single elim

the main difference is that CS majors try to be more self contained due to the insane quantity of events
