always one change away?
we all know hiro and ruxic are at minimum both top 10 players on the region, so surely even surrounded by average players they should be qualifying for playoffs and going on deep runs
but they're just, shit?
the last game they won where somebody other than hiro/ruxic topfragged was 2025 stage 2 (and it was Shao, who isn't even on the team anymore, by 0.01 rating)
is it an organisational issue? is it ANGE1's stratbook/leadership? what is the actual problem here
okay tbf they arent shit, they never get dominated badly, but they havent had good or cutthroat recruitments. The next step cant be another decent player. They need one more top player
ehhh i mean they had what is in hindsight a pretty weak group in stage 1 and they couldn't make playoffs
plus they had the advantage that only they and TL had of playing a neutered version of Heretics, basically given a free win
TL/M8 both bombed out of playoffs and FUT were pretty shaky the entire time and they could only beat a Heretics in dysfunction (and honestly, they won due to an absolute life game out of Chloric) and a KC who had absolutely nothing left to play for
It would be interesting to see how they would perform if Miniboo chose them instead of Liquid, but alas he did not
a structure issue
they lose a lot of close games and its 100 percent down to micro teamplay more than anything imo
if they could tighten up teamplay, and enable the individuals more they can probably beat most teams in EMEA easily
I think it has a lot to do with the coach and the coaching staff. They have very few tactics.
its crazy how you cant achieve anything with 2 of the top 5 players in the region
Hiro just didn’t have a single good series all of EWC, they could’ve qualified if he performed like usual
