TSM fan so probably a bit biased, but do half of you guys not understand why they forfeit the series???? Like they literally cheated? People say 'Accident' but that's even worse. They could have been doing this in other games but got caught now but hey let's just shit on TSM because why not?

Yes they deserved to be punished. I am totally on board with the dq verdict.

But lets be honest T1 was clearly the better team
Lets assume T1 coach was calling mid round. How does that explain TSM getting 1v3'd by Seven ?
Also, from what the other pros have been insinuating, it turns out lots of teams have their coaches Calling mid round. It's just that T1 got caught. And because TSM is an influential org they managed to sway the decision in their favour when they realised they were about to lose

That's a valid statement but that's just riot's fault for scheduling in such a way
Can't blame T1 players or use it as an excuse in any way

all teams were burned out for all we know, not just tsm. imagine playing 3 bo3 thats hell. and i dont get t1 fans crying so hard and being cringe ass kids. rules are rules. its esports, its not just a "game". for sure TSM were looking like they were gonna lose ngl but oh well what happens happens.

You keep bringing up the 1v3 by Seven. Like whats the point, how does it matter to your arguments to prove that T1 was better than TSM. Zombs got a 1v3 on Team Liquid with a marshal and a classic in an eco round. Does that make zombs a better player than everyone on TL or SEN a better team?

You're totally missing my point
What I'm saying is a lot of teams do this thing where the coach helps in mid round calling. It's common in online matches. Hell maybe TSM were doing it themselves who knows. But TSM influenced riot to get T1 dq'd for sure cause they were about to be eliminated.

Even if TSM used their influence to get riot to dq T1 doesnt mean that T1 didnt deserve the dq, every team that does it deserves to be disqualified as simple as that and there is nothing wrong in TSM wanting them to be dqed, you would understand that only when you think of it from a TSM's perspective but since u have a hate boner its hard for you to look neutrally and every thought about the matter is biased

But other teams are doing it too so it's not fair to T1 which is why I think riot should have better policies don't you think ? If it's against the rules why not just block coach chat mid round so that no team can do it, instead of waiting for a team to get caught doing it and then punishing them

Also I have no hate boner for TSM. I just think they're a bad team who is barely tier 2

Thats like saying its not fair for a thief to get punished because there is probably thousands of other thieves that get away. Sure they can block chat mid round but there are a lot of other ways to communicate with the team apart from using valorant chat so it doesnt change shit

Ok imma be honest you have actually convinced me with that argument T1 definitely deserved it and its a fair punishment. Good analogy.

But despite that I still think T1 is the better team. Just my opinion. I feel if they had a fair rematch without the coach calling shit, T1 would clap them equally hard. Coz I don't think the coach calls affected the game that much. I mean steel is already a reputed top tier IGL he doesn't need his coach's assistance.

Agreed, T1 was better yesterday but then again, VK was better than Acend on that day and the day of the rematch. Im pretty sure that if jhow didnt use the cam, they still would have beaten Acend on that day

Ur right, its kinda dumb for riot to allow coaches to talk in team chat, but to be fair to them u could make the same argument for all the bugs in the game, "just know the problems 4head" even though this is an obvious problem.
Even then this whole online games thing is very shady, u could talk on any other chatting service on another monitor.

No the bugs that aren't supposed to be used are already listed for the players bro. That cypher cam bug from VK v ACE was already in the rulebook. That's why they were penalised.

And as for the coach thing, there's a really simple solution if riot is willing to implement it. Just have the coach stream his facecam POV during the entire match. Riot can then have it for reference in case of any discrepancy.

Sideshow said this but why don't they just allow coaches to talk to players in the online qualifiers when there are 7 bo3s going on at the same time, so everyone is equal and no one can cheat. Just dumb by riot.

It doesn't mater if TSM influence or not. The punishment was fair. They were caught red-handed. "Other teams are doing it too," this argument does not make it right.

I'm completely fine with this ruling even though i thought T1 was the better team and even without any external assistance. i just hope rito is consisntent with their rulings. because a rule is a rule and if you breach it, you should be punished. i just think the severity of the punishment was more than it should've been.

If T1's coach helped them in both maps fine, they get dq'ed, but if its only on one map, I think Split should be given to TSM and then continue to play out the series. Valorant should really show us what else T1 did to deserve a dq bc I don't think a single all chat comm is enough to warrant a dq.
