like AG, BBL, and NS, they peaked at the right moment and then the rest of the league caught up i guess

agree. this is an adrenaline based shooter at the end of the day. teams that are good for one event off tasting success for the first ever time / where all their players are in life-or-death focus aren't so impressive vs teams where it's a normal day for them (see BBL standing/shouting every round)

looking at masters copenhagen (when chamber had 77% pickrate)
we have the evidently shit players of: f0rsakeN, Cryocells, Derke, d4v41, ardiis, Meteor, yay, BuZz, aspas, Less

i concede there were some players who "fell" off but who was rlly hyping up Sayf, Tacolilla, Surf, NagZ and xnfri

You saw bbl and Nongshim
They were heavy yoru usage team. They also have radiant players. Do you think it’s that easy? If that was the case metas won’t matter for team’s success.

okay but hear me out
every team plays neon in americas
not every team played yoru in americas kickoff

#13

But you realise yoru neon were pivotal for kickoff and Santiago

well yes of course, but if every team is playing the same agent, nerfing that agent will just make everyone have to rethink strategy, and not necessarily make specific teams shit and other teams better

#22

Yeah but some teams are better at playing that same agent compared to other teams and that inflates their results. When that variable is out of the picture the results might look different.

#29

the results will look different as everyone will have to change their gameplan - multiple americas teams have a player that is abusing neon (FUR alym, LEV spike, KRU dantedeu5, EG dgzin, C9 OXY, SEN Jerrwin, LOUD Virtyy, MIBR zekken, G2 jawgemo) on multiple maps. therefore, whilst the neon nerfs should benefit some teams like NRG, MIBR, 100T as they have a couple maps in which they dont play neon, most teams will have different comps, and thus it is all up in the air about who will be good or bad. so i dont think Furia will be significantly worse off than other teams in americas because of the neon nerf

also furia were dogshit on bind which left the map pool

nrg map pick

Idk man even if they win this game I doubt they will recreate kickoff performance. They will remain top of mid teams who beat Sen 100t but lose to likes of NRG g2 lev kru, probably Mibr.

Also lotus is not a bad map for Furia even if it’s NRG pick

yeah i always called they were a mid table team who fluked santiago and that was their ceiling. better than going 0-5 tho

if its a 2-0 then yeah and FNS was right about them being good at kickoff only

I wouldn't say it was a honeymoon because they played pretty well during the group stage as well, I think its more that they are starting to get anti-stratted and they didn't change enough after the group stage so now they are just getting read pretty easily.

I think they played average they beat teams they were expected to beat in sen & EG. B beating NRG was a big result tho NRG was figuring out their own shi in first 2 game weeks. And lost to 100T which is another mid team that’s not convincing for a top 3 team. I’m not saying furia are bad they are best out of mid teams that’s all.

But I don't think they were in a honeymoon, they genuinely looked good against Sen, NRG, and the 2nd and 3rd map against EG. Its not like what you see from a team like bbl where they genuinely looked like an entirely different team from kickoff or like 100T who honeymoon for like 2 games and then fall off.

Kickoff format was a bit mickey, the team that got 1st did so by running the upper bracket meaning they don’t have to play the winner of the lower bracket, Furia beat KRU sub roster, a shit SEN, and scraped off a game vs a slightly above mediocre G2 and a choking MIBR

they didn’t have to play 100T, the real KRU roster, LEV with Neon, or NRG

Who cares if it is they’re not gonna disband over one mid stage atp M8 should break up too no? Yall watch one game about a team and swear you know everything lol
