I liked what I saw the last game of the stage against 1st seed KRU.
Paincakes and Zerona look good, and their additions look great (they seem to have integrated well in a short time).
I had doubts in replacing Okeanos specifically- I rate him quite highly after his time on LEV (I'm a LEV fan, so I might be a bit biased) but I don't think I would've chosen Supamen over him- I would've trusted him in the Smokes role (or moved Bao to it.)
A win against SEN where DG and the two new additions (excluding coaching staff) are the only positive ones is promising.
I rate Faded quite highly after his time on Vitality despite them not having too much success- I believe his experience with top talent could really benefit a team like Evil Geniuses.

Bit early but I think they will make Champions as 2nd seed (just seen they can't make it off of points).
My only doubts about this team would be Supamen's inconsistency- I think if they get to Champs, they'll be Top 6-8 tops- but when he's shooting, he'll bring an incredibly difficult game to a LOT of global teams.
I'm excited to see that DG has a bit of support and that the team has managed to add more firepower where it felt quite difficult too.
If they want a chance to win big, it's going to take some innovation from Paincakes I'd guess- Like Brawk coming into NRG and innovating that team's playstyle with his Odin Usage.

i agree they have potential but im not so sure about champs as 3rd and 4th seed because nowadays 3rd and 4th seed is based off of total champs points
they would have to be 1st or 2nd seed

If EG want any chance of making champs, either Bao or Supamen needs to find consistency imo, and since Supa is essentially a known quantity atp, it's up to Bao to make better decision in game cause his mechanics are nice af but he has the decision making of Urango.

Agreed on good prospects and that Oke I would've took over Supamen but this roster isn't going to sniff a champs unless more changes are made supamen inconsistency is true but Bao is just as bad. If they can get direct upgrades for either of them I'll call them a contender but not even Dgzin could carry those to an international.

The game yesterday wasn't impressive it took SEN playing like shit and Zerona going nuclear to even win maps even with 2 sand bags on his feet.

They have the pieces to make a competitive roster but do they actually make those changes?

You also need to understand these are the 4 worst teams in the region adding 2 rookies from academy and thinking they now make Champs 2nd seed is nuts

We can come back to this and one of us will say 'I told you so' haha. Nah it's true though, but people thought the same for 2023 Evil Geniuses (nobody even thought they would qualify before Stage 1/Tokyo)- and nobody expected EDG to win in 2024- so who knows. Valorant is too unpredictable for us to write anything off.

Valorant is indeed unpredictable and there is always a chance doesn't make the comment any less insane EG 2023 they all peaked and hit prime form at the right exact moment not something you can rely on.

Saying with a few changes they could compete against the other teams for champions is fair but saying because they beat a shit SEN and brought 2 players from an EG academy that came 5-6th in T2 doesn't mean they magically didn't go 0-5 and can now get 2nd Seed champs.

Evil Geniuses only made playoffs in 2023 from MiBR beating Thieves mate.
With Demon1.
EG got 13-0'd with Demon1.
Time's not up to turn up and become a good team.

NRG 2025 had to battle through playoffs to get a champs spot.

With reps, like that team, they could definitely contest for a spot.
But their T2 placement is irrelevant here because they've come into this team and are re-juvenating it. Like Demon1 in 2023 was literally a 1 man change that helped them come 2nd at Tokyo and 1st at Champs?

I could argue that your points are a bit skewed and pessimistic but tbh, it's from a good place and I'm not trying to be a dick and argue over vlr, so let's agree to disagree.
I am hopeful though.

Nah I can't agree with dragging EGA up supamen and bao are shit but I'm not dragging a roster who is going 5-6th in T2.

Right now everyone is massively over hyping EG they just made 2 changes which they're good but this can easily be a honeymoon period.

As I've said many times 2 more changes then I believe in the roster but no more EGA players ideally
