AI doesnt just make up random slop lol

what ai does is it mixes multiple datapoints together to TRY and form coherent scentences
most of the time, results you get will differ

just not true really, as long as you aren't using it for breaking news or divergent thinking it basically never hallucinates, certainly not for simplistic things like "what are the living standards in chile"

the SOTA models have improved tremendously

as far as i knew, hallucinations in ai can/could never be fully removed

i do agree, its accurate, not fully but still complete enough to quicken reaserch
but IF used wrong say via. growing dependent on ai. it doesnt help as much

then there are some personal saftey concerns for me where i would like to have some more transparancy on (but we wont get because we are only the customer)

even if i were to use ai, i would never touch one from open ai.
i dont trust them, multi "billion" dollar company making a deal with a goverment allowing that goverment to use their ai as they please... yeah no

yeah when u think how much time u can save by using ai u realise u are wrong. think of ai as an refined search engine

#25

but then you think of how harmful ai is currently with powerconsumption (driving up prices in communities where datacenters are constructed), water consumption (using the communities fresh water supply to cool the servers, often leaving the residence without quick access to water), not to mention light pollution, noise pollution, deforestation

How do people live in Santiago?
Santiago has a mix of many housing styles, depending heavily on wealth and neighborhood:
City Center / Modern Areas
Many people live in apartment towers/high-rises, especially young professionals.
Neighborhoods like Las Condes/Providencia have lots of modern skyscraper apartments.
Middle-Class Areas
Large parts of Santiago are suburban-style neighborhoods:
detached/semi-detached houses
smaller apartment buildings
townhouses
Poorer Areas
There are poorer outskirts/peripheral neighborhoods with:
denser housing
lower-quality homes
some informal/slum-like settlements, though not on the scale of some other Latin American cities.
Gated Communities
Wealthier families often live in gated neighborhoods/condominiums, especially in eastern Santiago.
Overall: Santiago feels like a mix of European-style apartments + suburban sprawl + Latin American inequality.
How do people get around?
Mainly:
Metro
Santiago has one of Latin America’s best metro/subway systems.
Clean, modern, widely used.
Buses
Huge bus network covers areas the metro doesn’t.
Cars
Many middle/upper-class people drive.
Traffic can be heavy.
Walking/Biking
In nicer districts people walk/bike a lot.
Less common in outer suburbs.
What do teenagers do for fun?
Pretty similar to Europe/US honestly:
Common activities:
Hang out at shopping malls
Go to cafés / fast food / restaurants
Play football (soccer) in parks or clubs
Go to parties/house gatherings
Visit parks/plazas
Gaming/internet/social media
Wealthier teens:
Ski trips to Andes mountains
Private clubs/sports
Mall/movie culture
Lower-income teens:
More street/social neighborhood hanging out, football, music, local plazas.
How expensive is Santiago vs Germany?
Santiago/Chile is generally much cheaper than Germany overall.
Chile’s overall cost of living is estimated around 35–45% lower than Germany, depending on comparison method/location.
Compared with Berlin specifically, Santiago’s total cost including rent has been estimated much lower, with Berlin significantly more expensive.
Rough comparison:
Expense Santiago vs Germany
Rent Much cheaper
Public transport Cheaper
Restaurants Cheaper
Groceries Slightly cheaper/moderately cheaper
Imported goods/electronics Can be similar or expensive
Important note:
While it’s cheaper, average salaries are also lower, so locals don’t necessarily feel richer.
General vibe of Santiago
If you're imagining it:
More modern than many foreigners expect
Big skyline with skyscrapers
Mountains visible around city
Mix of European and Latin American urban feel
Strong wealth gap between rich east and poorer west/south areas

im going to use santiago as a baseline because thats where most of the population live
1) a lot of younger people that are starting to work rent apartments, a lot of the older generations have their own houses, especially if they got it from an inheritance, but i would say most of the working class are living renting houses/apartments. Gated communities are a thing in most of chile, and are not neccesarily that expensive compared to other countries.
2) mostly metro and buses, public transit is really good in chile. Outside of santiago buses are the norm, as the metro only exist in santiago. That being said, a lot of people own cars, and theres a lot of traffic almost all day. You could probably google a lot of stuff about our public transportation as is one of the best in latam/the world
3) i mean, when i was a teenager i was in a lot of parties/playing league of legends, i think a lot of people from that age are still doing that, gaming and then partying with friends. recently theres a lot of people doing trekking, or outdoors activities.
4) i cant help you with this one, as i cant compare it to a place ive never been to. Chile is probably one of the most expensive parts on latam, but i wouldnt say its one of the most expensive in the world, you can probably google prices of basic stuff like gas/utilities/groceries and compared i.
