SEA used to challenge Korea, but it feels like the balance in Pacific is starting to shift.
I think Korean teams will dominate the international titles again this year. agree?

Nope. SEA will win one title again and then NA gonna win champs. Meta is just very good for korean team rn since they have the best entry and second entry combo with neon

Korean teams always looks good on the beginning and falls off as the season progress. Trust me once riot changes the meta again they are just gonna falloff. Its not like there arent any team who came close to NS rn. RRQ is a good example for this

NS had the 3rd most dominant run ever + RRQ got dominated on the maps they lost they really didn’t have a chance they’re probably one of the worst examples you could think of. The only team who actually tested them was G2

Meta so good for korean teams that they won two other trophies in a heavy double initiator meta

T1 literally played double duelist on their run ?
You could argue about Gen G since they played with sentinels and viper meta.
Drx got a lot better when they can play double duelist with flashback hyunmin.

Now NS won with the same system DRX are running at champs 2025 except with neon cause they got every good matchup except G2.
T1 win with double duelists in meta with double ini meta just helps to prove this meta where sentinels are nerfed helps enabling korean teams to become even better

I think its because of how much the teams scrim within each other, causing them to grow and evolve faster than other regions.

Also, i think the players are grinding a lot more due to how competitive it is to be on a team.
Slack for a second and ur gone

Chobra was talking about Xross, and apparently he just grinds ranked like 10 hours a day, even after scrims and prac

Xross is more towards the intense side of grinding to improve himself

getting grouped at champs after winning a tournament is not an improvement

geng
1st kickoff
2nd madrid
2nd stage 1
1st shanghai
1st stage 2
grouped champs

just because they lost in the group of death at the very last event of the year doesn't mean they literally just peaked like a month prior to it and during the tail end of the circuit

Cope. Champs isn't special, it's just another international.

Nothing new. They just got it in them with work ethic and culture. They dominated Starcraft: Brood War, Overwatch, League of Legends. Was only a matter of time before they did it in Valorant.

there was 1 (one) Korean team in Santiago playoffs and they were playing at the absolute highest pinnacle peak of their form that tournament. Even if Nongshim wins London, that's not a Korean thing, that's just Nongshim being good. The other Korean teams need to actually do something to warrant this Korea dominance narrative.

the korean dominance narrative stems from the fact that 3 different korean teams won an international in the last 3 years and 4 placed top 3 minimum at an event in the last 3 years, not that all korean teams are dominant at the same time. this is not even the case in league

I agree with this. The only thing i disagree if they say most korean teams are dominant at the same time. There is always one korean team cut above the rest every year. And thats because the dominant korean teams are always very good at showcasing their strength. Compared to other pacific region teams which always try to copy or becoming jack of all strats
