the level of play is growing every year, i'm pretty sure the region is gonna dominate valorant very soon, just like league of legends esport.

Same. These league fans are so annoying. Always the same shit. Val is so much better than league. And hopefully it's never gonna be 1 country or 2 teams esports like league.

“No champs” argument is irrelevant

The concept is incredibly overrated even in league of legends but the league community isn't ready for that

Obviously they should. Esports literally started there and the culture around it is the biggest there.

How can apac be the best region with no champs trophy tho. Heck, beside prx, no apac team has ever made it to grands of champions and prx only did it once.

I think every region is strong
Except CN is a little bit behind. But we’ll see how AG do these next games. Plus London I hope CN show up.

AG was insane against m8

Not in many games that I'm aware of there was an era on OW but that's long gone even though they're still playing and have (mostly) their own region
Even in league the gameplay really isn't that much better than everywhere else except the top 2 or 3 at best

all thanks to partnership to unite SEA and East Asia in Korea. Asia was super segregated back then in pre partnership days, only cross regional tournament was Korea vs China, chaotic high ping LCQ. All whilst EU and NA improve rapidly whilst APAC have to play catch up.

If we're talking about depth, I think it should be EMEA and CN since they're the ones being inventive, and trying out wild comps in the current Meta (though sadly, at the moment, most aren't working out but we'll get there)

I would say this game is currently most likely to go through an NA era than other regions based on the current teams but honestly franchising makes it a coin flip based on how good your top 4 orgs are at not being stupid hence why emea and china are currently worse

Tbh that sounds more like a fault of covid than anything else but idk how true that would be

If we're talking about regional strength, I agree because besides the current top 4, there's a lot of sleeper teams in the Americas and most of their teams are well known to dominate internationally. But if it's just about depth, not strength, then I'd still say CN followed by EMEA.

  • Canada and US are neighbouring country.
  • EU pre much a centralised continent all unite in similar low ping server.
  • Pacific however have separate qualifying JP/KR/SEA (TH/ID/PH/MYSG/VT/HKTW). There's really never an opportunity to unite all subregion into a centralised form like EMEA so everyone can improve benefit together. VS/DRX pre much monopolise the one measly KR international spot so many players move to JP to get chance for international event (Munchkin/Meteor). If you're not the no1 team on the subregion, u pre much won't get any chance for international experience at all.
