kj quietly has fallen off since 2023
i mean in 2023 she was pretty dominant
but her fall off wasnt immediate
she saw a bit less play in 2024, then a bit less in 2025, and a further decline in 2026
but i still like kj herself is a perfectly fine agent (hence why there isnt much demand to buff her)
so why arent teams playing more kj

Mechanically they’re fine, but in this meta they just look a tier below. The developers prob need to drop another one that suit with the current meta.
breakable util and predictable setups if you play it well probably
also dash agents can just not touch the setups altogether and with waylay-yoru being able to penetrate sites so well they can just bypass it/pick kj out altogether

yeah but lockdown is a great ult and her mollies r good for stall no? cus even after the dive dashes in the rest of the team has to wait/take damage running in
nowadays lots of util can destroy lockdown and if you place it further out it gets less value
mollies are good for stall but what’s the use if two duelists and a prowler are already running it down in site
also the general ability to just. end the other site and render all her util useless
universal trips work a lot better
yeah kj util is good for stall but controllers can basically also just stall and do more whether its simply the smoke or its smoke + paranoia or smoke + astra suck or smoke+ viper/brim molly. legit every controller has site stopping util which is why u see double controllers bc they have replaced sentinels. Also dobule duelists work against sentinels a lot bc they can bypass the site stopping util, like waylay dash or raze satchel or yoru tp, u can just tp or dash backsite and have 2 ppl on site instead of only 1 on site which u could just isolate and take a 1v1 with or maybe 2v1 but u cant do that against a double duelist comp, so double duelists also makes sentinels worse.
Lockdown sure is one of the best ults in the game and her mollies provide reliable stall. The issue is that the current meta reduces the relative value of that stall. Many agents’ utility can now destroy her lockdown and teams are pushing site fast, well-coordinated execs that take space before her delayed utility really matters. Moreover, players nowadays are much better at clearing setups so her defensive impact isn’t as high as it used to be in slower metas.
as kj main, kj has been weak for sooo long. She's been consistently nerfed for years now, ahead of the curve in my opinion. There hasn't been a single meta in the past 3 years where people have complained "'kj too strong". Nerf is NEEDED
