but mazino HAS to play KAYO its the only way! There are no duelists that could replace KAYO!!!!!

Its totally not like a certain mibr duelist player who is playing smokes has quite a bit of history on kayo or other initators that could play it and allow mazino to play smokes, whatever will mibr do.

i'm curious tho why they're so fixated on the Kay/o

Kayo is a great agent specially for stall purposes on execs and is very strong on maps like Abyss, Pearl, Corrode, etc. But in some maps they could change it out or put Zekken himself in kayo instead of trying to force the role swap since mazino seems very comfortable as controller

zekken isn't that great on smokes yet so surely they just put him on his first role which he first played (initator) in and let mazino on smokes since he is much much much better at it

OR they could just run double duelist. if they want to play kayo so bad, keep mazino on it. his kayo is elite

I agree but if they really dont want to play double duelist every map i feel they fit in better with Zekken double initiator

this boutta be an NRG 3-0 cuz they have too much vods and MIBR is 100% tired and they're still going to be putting zekken on controller lol

zekken will win them one map on his own

3-1 nrg

grossly overestimating 1 day of prep and the level nrg are at but ok

if they won the first BO5 then they qualify but since they lost, they will miss Santiago.
i'm an MIBR fan but its logical to think there's atleast an 80% chance they will lose to NRG now
i'm hoping for the best but the odds are so against them rn

Nah still not happening with Nrg having all the VOD's . They only win if somehow aspas and zekken gives a generational performance

Every team that has qualified to Santiago uses double duelist or duelist + chamber in all their comps. Standard gameplay is not allowed in this meta and I love it.

i think its more of a fact that riot EXTREMELY fucked up with the format. The fact that you can play b2b bo5s while ur opponent gets time to prep and vod review you while you play is insane. You play 5 maps, lose, rest, and then play another bo5 against a team who spent that entire day anti stratting you.

#16

thats just a scheduling problem. this format is great

#23

i agree the format is great, but realistically it should've been upper bracket all the way through, mid bracket all the way through, and then bottom bracket all the way through

the schedule is hard but i don't think it matters as much as people are acting like it does. it effects energy and adjustments but its still very possible to win a 3rd bo5

#24

it really does tho. not saying that G2 didnt whoop them, but playing a bo5 like that, and then having to play a team who's last match was a week ago after you lost a close bo5 before hand and spent the entire time anti stratting against you is insane.

you're thinking about this the wrong way, mibr has had days of rest and watching OTHER teams play whilst never having to fight for their tournament life, whereas teams like nrg have had to play way more and show everything esp. since they were in the lower bracket for a while. if you're choking this many best of 5s then ur just shit

#26

that completely ignores the fact that them losing to furia and then switching gears to another bo5 is insane. you lose, you have to play more, and that makes sense. but the way the final matches are scheduled and even giving a possibility of playing b2b bo5s 3 times is insane
