does americas have its own playstyle?

i feel like every region has a very characteristic style except americas.

  • emea usually plays slow, controlling space and map presence.

  • apac and cn are super aggressive and bet on leaving the enemy with no time to react to their pressure. very aim-heavy gameplay with fast acceleration.

but americas doesn’t really have a single phrase that defines the whole region.
each team here plays in a different way. if you compare even the teams in the “top 3”, mibr, g2 and nrg, each one plays completely differently from the others.

there’s also a huge gap in playstyle between eg and envy or 100t for example.

maybe that’s what makes it the strongest region?
many teams with different identities and ways of playing valorant, so when they reach the international stage they don’t usually struggle to adapt (with the exception of g2).

I'd say the best way to describe Americas playstyle is flexible and dynamic.

that makes sense, flexibility is a good word to describe it.

The other regions goes for the extreme sides of Valorant to hide their talent limitations

Americas is the perfect Valorant

3 Champions trophies.

americas adapt when it matters the most and when their gameplan is not working unlike the other regions

watching chinese games is really fun because everything is pure chaos. they’re a region that lives through risk-taking, unlike emea which tends to take fewer risks in their plays, making them more methodical.

chinese teams aren’t afraid to gamble. they’re even more aggressive than apac.

The Americas teams that make internationals usually do so by having great chemistry, trading, communication and a crazy amount of protocols. They work off each other very well.

It takes longer for this to reach the highest level, which is why they generally tend to perform better by the end of the year and win Champs. But for some reason every successful roster is disassembled by the next season. Optic kept their roster and won Reykjavík, G2 kept their roster and should've won Bangkok.

This season both NRG and G2 kept their rosters so we'll have to see how that theory holds

well, g2 nerfed their roster and nrg made an upgrade.

in nrg’s case, if this team doesn’t reach at least one final this year, i’d count their season as a failure. they have to win at least one regional and be at least top 5 internationally.

the team kept the same championship-winning core and added one of the best players from emea. they have everything it takes to be the first champions winner team to not be cursed.

Honestly, I dont see Keiko as an upgrade over s0m for smokes. In rate them about the same in terms of round winning potential and value. S0m has better utility while Keiko has better mechanics. s0m has better comms & vibes while Keiko can also flex duelist. I still have the same expectations for the roster since they picked up mada and verno, then brawk and skuba and now with keiko.

i think that in the long run keiko’s impact could be bigger than s0m’s because he still has room to grow, but right now, at this moment, i believe s0m would have more impact. it’s all a matter of time.

now he opens up a wider range of comps for nrg with double duelist and brings more firepower to the team.

id say americas playstyle is just chaos

i disagree. envy for example is the only truly chaotic team in the region.

100t can get chaotic, under boostio they were the embodiment of chaos

with vora and nbs they’re more disciplined. “being chaotic” isn’t a core part of 100t’s game plan, even if they sometimes dip into that madness.
