"rookie" is not a good excuse anymore these days
especially after NRG 2025 Champs run

none of those players are real rookies btw brawk has clips playing competitvely cs years ago and val before franchising.. both dont refer to themselves as rookies at all

ok yes but also nrg took until the end of the season to look good so im not sure that example works but i agree with you most of the rookies that come into tier 1 perform well after a few matches
Kaplan is not the issue anyone saying otherwise is braindead
n4rrate not being able to play the most meta duelist in the game when he wanted to play entry duelist is a skill issue and needs to be addressed individually
strat wise sen looks good, and he clearly made a very smart decision to take John off igl, regardless of if the midrounfing/kyus igl is pretty cheeks (although he's new to the league, this is to be expected)
n4rrate is just a bot

NRG only started to look good after bringing back bonkar
macncheese [#4]none of those players are real rookies btw brawk has clips playing competitvely cs years ago and val before franchising.. both dont refer to themselves as rookies at all
rookie means first time in Tier 1
And they were all considered rookies last year, thats why brawk won "Rookie Of The Year" award for last year

this is also true mada and brawk aren't really rookies in the same way reduxx and kyu are rookies

they should just use TH 2024 as an example instead of NRG 2025 just because one has a chip and the other one doesn’t

If N4RRATE is not good on Waylay maybe the coach should make some role or agent changes instead of trying to push strats that clearly doesn't work? We know how good he was on initiators last year.
kyro1 [#10]both were tier 1 pre franchising
pre franchising even you and me could be considered Tier 1 if we tried 😂
glittering_yard [#8]rookie means first time in Tier 1

thats just bc stupid riot marketing i am not going to consider 2023 the beginning of the universe just bc riot started paying teams to play in a league together

ur brain is completely cooked that is the dumbest take oat

I mean to the point of n4rrate not being able to play the most meta duelist, aspas and kk also weren't able to play yoru when he was the most meta duelist and they found a way around it, kaplan should not be trying to force an agent that obviously doesn't work for the roster.

make role changes in kickoff when they've been practicing a system for the entire offseason yeah let them just do that and see how that goes
I have no horse in this race and I know narrate was not allat on init he was just baiting and getting the stats that his team was setting up for him (zekken)
catNmouse [#12]they should just use TH 2024 as an example instead of NRG 2025 just because one has a chip and the other one doesn’t
yeah th is a much better example but also patitek and benjy should not be considered rookies in 2024

patitek i agree but benjy only played one game in LCQ in a dead heretics team and wasn’t known in valorant before that

do you think narrate's duelist is aspas level?
there is one singular player in the world who has the right to say "I don't give a fuck about the meta put me on Jett" and his name is aspas
no one else in the world has this liberty, nor do they deserve to have it
narrate needs to sit the fuck down and grind waylay in ranked to be less shit, not have his entire teams stratbook turned upside down because he can't play the most required duelist in the game nor be a competent entry player
after kickoff, if you need to switch roles, you can do that, but that's later, you stick with the system for now
macncheese [#16]ur brain is completely cooked that is the dumbest take oat
that's how it works. post-franchising tier 1.
glittering_yard [#14]pre franchising even you and me could be considered Tier 1 if we tried 😂
the level of play was low but still pre franchising tier 1 doesn't mean they were rookies in 2025 they are improved but still have the experience they got back then. riot is bit special in the way they give out awards so taking that seriously is silly imo
macncheese [#15]thats just bc stupid riot marketing i am not going to consider 2023 the beginning of the universe just bc riot started paying teams to play in a league together
If thats how Riot wants, thats how it is, its their esport scene
Tier 1 pre-franchising is only the players who played internationals, none of the NRG rookies played those internationals
The regionals pre-franchising were filled with bums

If Kaplan didn't notice that N4RRATE is not a good Waylay during the whole off season then that is on the coach and not the player.
Also they have nothing to lose so might as well try something new in real matches before they get eliminated against LEV/LOUD.

if you think you can play narrate on Jett as an entry instead of a waylay in this meta then there's no reason to interact with you anymore
catNmouse [#20]patitek i agree but benjy only played one game in LCQ in a dead heretics team and wasn’t known in valorant before that
yes but hes a top tier fortnite pro like sure hes a valorant rookie but like we cant fr compare benjy to reduxx or icy or whatever example

No I don't think n4rrates duelist is aspas level, but at the same time we've seen how good his jett and raze on KC and even how much better n4rrate looks on neon. Like you can play jett on both abyss and breeze, raze on split, and neon on haven, pearl, breeze, and corrode, all of these are viable duelist that we have seen other teams use on those maps, there is no reason to force one meta agent that doesn't suit your team when the meta hasn't even really been solved yet and there being so many viable agents.
