Isolation. The skill celling is the same cause they can only play against other aus players and ping for other servers is 100+.

yeah, i think the way valorant's skill ceiling is centered HIGHLY around ping adds to that "isolation" issue. Genburten was dominating NA lobbies on 150+ ping for years, cuz the high ttk nature of apex allowed it, so he had tons of experience playing with hal etc on the regular
Because the two are completely separate situations.
VAL, in OCE, are perpetually hampered by inept TOs and a regional office structure that does NOT help them in developing. There are LEGITIMATELY good players in OCE, but like I said before, either they've been slide tackled by inept organizations, tournament operators, or geographical distance and server infrastructure that the Mariana Trench couldn't even gap.
It's solely happening in Riot titles, as well- since League in OCE have also been in a downturn.
