man i joined in mid 2014 and i used to have so much fun just playing whatever i saw
nowadays roblox feels so corporate its unreal, site has no personality
the sad part is that we'll never be able to go back to that time

There were so many good things in 2016 but I cant think of any right now.
personally i did prefer 2015 but 2016 was peak too
the whole 2014-2017 era was peak for me

i always enjoyed minecraft content more, loved watching popularmmos especially
though roblox was my preferred game/site
roblox went downhill the moment they removed tix
after that the logo change (like why, the old one had 20x the personality)
and then the nail in the coffin, they went public
roblox is now a shell of what it was
I started playing roblox in 2015
First playing prison life and redwood prison
Then from 2018, I would play bss and from then on, from time to time, play it
And then in 2020, I moved on to blood and iron, as I was naturally very into Napoleonic warfare, it was my main game for a year or two, until I stopped playing roblox entirely
Then last year, I started playing a bit of guts and blackpowder as there was like a rivalry against blood and iron and guts and blackpowder
I was one of the ogs that got bear bee before it went offsale
I have the 1st edition flag on bear bee or whatever
yeah you buy the bears on release and you get a first edition flag on the bee i had all of the event bees with the flag on my old account the times
god prison life was so peak
i used to play old pokemon games like pokemon adventures, project pokemon and brick bronze
i didnt really play intense games like you did, i preferred pokemon games, obbies and tycoons
now its just all bad
I played a bit of brick bronze, I got to the groudon part
I also played a lot pf phantom forces back in the day
beesmas is lowkirkenuinely draining the life out of me
specifically the stickbug quest
robo bear isn't too bad since it can be grinded out within like a week maybe
stickbug / honey bee / gummy bear all have components of their quests that take weeks / months to complete (stickbug tokens, honeystorm tokens, 1t goo, etc.)

but i also miss old roblox, the new one just doesn't have any personality and is a corporate mess
comparatively yeah
you could argue the quality of most games is better now in the sense of graphics
but 99% of them have insane p2w microtransactions in them. games back then also had microtransactions but it wasn't nearly this bad
the site lost its original colors and became the standard commercialized black and white (randomly became a blue cheez-it now?) just compare the old and new logo and youll see what i mean, literally no personality
the paid subscription service that offered you monthly robux went from builders club (unique name) to "premium" so it can be even more bland and standardized
the ceo and shit have completely lost touch with their community, look at how the head of roblox (david basczuki) talks in interviews and shit now, he's legit scared to say something wrong cause roblox is now a public company. before, the roblox devs used to regularly interact with the playerbase and shit
im sure ive missed a lot more but i wanted to rant about all this bs rn
