i have to be honest

(im kinda late with this thread)
i dont get why we, as humans, blow some gunpowder into the athmosphere (firework) during festivities (like silvester and for americans only: 4th of july)
i dont espacially like fireworks because:

• it stresses out your pets
• it stresses out wildlife
• it CAN be a public health concern as the powder will worsen air quality
• it can lead to destruction of property, and heavy injuries (especially (here in germany) in Berlin)

I also hate it because i cant sleep
(this is a subjective take and i dont expect people to agree, this is my opinion)

you wont get it, but the joy of celebrating an occasion with cool colors is amazing, fireworks will always amaze me

blowing shit up has been fun since gunpowder was invented

L take but at the same time all the fun traditions around Guy Fawkes night were completely eclipsed by fireworks nowadays so I kinda hate them for that reason

people here are crazy loud as well, its not just fireworks they'd make the exhausts of their motorcycles and cars SUUUPER loud for one night and i never understood why but honestly i just got used to it. I do fear stray bullets during new year though, a lotta people have died from dumbasses firing guns in the sky during new year
