most common anti-depressants block something called the "reuptake transporters"
they block the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine & other neurotransmittors!
So basically they make you feel more pumped & happy!
It is very difficult to get the compound in the axons :3
correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure with most antidepressants, you build up to have a constant amount of the antidepressant in your body. so around 2-3 weeks for it to take full effect.
The Bible is my antidepressant. Knowing that Jesus saved me brings me immense joy and happiness, and it eliminates any feelings of sadness.

Depending on the typa anti-depressant the first effects could happen after a day, a week, a month or even multiple months
Usually the pharmacist who delivered the medicine shouldve told you :3
But remember, the effect of antidepressants seems as an euphemism. The first moments you will feel very excited, i hope you got someone to have an eye on you :3
remember to trust the therapy!
clinically 4-8 weeks. if they are not working after that, talk to your doctor.
