Sometimes i feel bad for them, i mean, root for a potential team has to be shit, every year: "they can..." "they may be..." "they probably are winning....", jesus fucking christ that exhausting.

Think Sen fans expectations are relatively mild this year, would be great if they qualify for an international.
I like to think that whatever sadness I feel from my favorite esports teams not winning shit is made up by my favorite traditional sports teams winning a lot
G2 fans complaining about Valorant is like a rich kid complaining about getting a Mercedes instead of a Ferrari. Yeah they havent won an international but imagine telling a 100T/C9/EG/ pretty much any other fan that its tough being a G2 fan lmao
EG have been consistently the worst NA team in 2024 and 2025, its the same with NRG, 1 Cinderella run doesnt magically make them an easy team to support
Winning one event and playing like shit the rest is better than choking several events no matter how you paint it. Seeing your team win an event is the absolute pinnacle of fandom and trumps all else
idk pretty easy to me, eg have accomplished more than 90% of franchised teams while also being the best zero to hero story in the history of the esport. Also the org since 2023 is entirely alive because of the franchising contract so there's no expectations for fielding a contender roster again and there's fun underdog wins every year (beating sen last year, 2 rounds away from toronto this year). I could not care less about winning like 5 fewer regular season games a year personally
Makes it worse that most of us have been fans since The Guard. So close to winning, yet so far away.
and then when we say "nah, g2 is great, y'all always underrate them", they lose, and we get clowned on.
And when they lose internationals, they come back looking promising in regionals. The cycle continues.
must be rough having all this potential. I watch some of their regional matches and opening matches in internationals and they legit look like thanos. i dont know how or why they just cant get it done apart from choking (and i guess trolling map veto in champs +bind comp)
