you should try, it's not some classic marvel or DCeu bullshit with awful effects and corny jokes every 5 seconds, the batman trilogy are actually good movies
dont even forget about the deus ex machina when they were completely fucked by lucca changretta
I'd say it's top 3 to me
then
I'm hooked on those and I'm finishing them in one day so they HAVE to be in my top 5
Honestly I think the writing fell off a cliff the longer the show went, but I'd say it's a very good show overall
Breaking Bad
The Wire
The Sopranos
Mad Men
Severance
The Shield
Dark
The Leftovers
Better Call Saul
Justified
Honorable Mention: Fringe, Boardwalk Emipre, Banshee, Deadwood, Friday Night Lights, Mr Robot
Just missed: Andor, GoT, Parks & Rec, Peaky Blinders, The Americans
it's incredibly good. prob a top 30 series for me. if anything i'd say peaky blinders is remarkable quality when you consider it had such a limited budget compared to what most prestige series spend nowadays. but i don't think it's disrespectful to not put it top 15 though when you consider there are thousands of options out there. i thought it started out really strong but fizzled out a bit toward the end, probably through no fault of its own because of having to film the last parts during Covid where you can't consistently get extras on set. it just felt like a very different series to toward the end.
