Especially now with Ascension teams being able to qual for LAN’s next year what sense does it make to keep this implemented.

these people dk what they're talking about
all host countries for VCT leagues can grant Visa's for sports players
Riot has the 18 year old rule likely for contract reasons because under 18s can just get out of contracts whenever they want p much
there's no child labor laws that prevent this, because MOST countries that are played in have sports visa's where they can compete
under 18s can't "work" past 10pm
if a series goes longer than 10pm riot is now in legal trouble
don't try to be a smartass

stfu bro
they aren't getting work visa's in KR/Germany/US they'd get athlete visa's, stop yapping
how do you think Less and Zekken played in 2023 retard
also like you're a retard, the curfew is for 15 and under in the US, and I did a lot of research into EU visa's when I did my second year uni in Germany last year
riot does this because kids can tear up contracts lol
zekken played after march (turned 18)
less played in brazil for lock in
and by the time americas started (after february) he was 18
dumb fuck
when you're in uni you're 18+
in eu https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/human-resources/types-employment-arrangements/teenage-workers/index_en.htm
Teenage employees cannot work between 10 pm and 6 am or between 11 pm and 7 am
alfajer's birthday is in june of the same year
you aren't right, let go, im educating you.
the latest german games start at 6:30 pm, bo5s start at like 4:30/5:30, send me the time where they went past 11

22 - there was no age restriction
23 - these riot rules are put in place
how do other esports work around this then? Epic Games have 13+ for some games and even Cs is 16+ I believe
It’s the way the system is set up, I think on FN bc it isnt franchised it just dienst work the same
what about CS then, every team has a gamba sponsor when half there players can’t even gamble
I don’t know anything but if I had to guess it’s probably something to do with the fact that they sign to teams specifically. Most teams seem to practice for quite a while and child labor laws prevent a minor from working for more than a certain amount per week. Another could be work visas, they’re probably much harder to get for a minor than an adult, so for T1 they want to ensure their teams can make it to tournaments with minimal hassle.
Cs probably just doesn’t bother since they’re all 3rd party tourneys and they want to do things their own way. Fortnite idk
Valve doesn’t control the tournaments directly so it’s up the tournament organizers to implement age rules. I thought there were tournaments that were 16+ or 18+ in cs, which depends on local country labor laws too.
It makes plenty of sense lowkey should be the standard for tier 1 or equivalent in most esports
plenty of sense yet the stars of most esports are below 18? We just wasting their primes
Mainly for bank accounts and passports its possible but you need a guardian taking care of you. Its just more complicated and ig riot don't want to deal with it
they will allow betting sponsors in league as well as in valorant, that's why, the rule was introduced in lol starting with last year when they first announced allowing betting sponsors starting with 2026, coincidence? i don't think so
I mean Falcons have m0nesy doing gamba ad’s so don’t really think it matters to much
