Instead of worrying about people’s opinion on chron vs aspas, I think it may be time to start worrying about your future.
Asspiss overrated. Rating method for calling him the "GOAT" is too subjectively specific that it generally just does not deserve the general definition of "GOAT"
"subjectively specific" and is just saying hes great mechanically and a very decisive player
"mechanically" If you say so then be my guest and break it down technically Brazilian. Pistols? Knife? Ult-based Weapon Damage? Ability-based Weapon Damage? Snipers? Rifles? SMGs? Pure Agent Movement? Ability-based Agent Movement? Pure Reflex? Aim Accuracy? Headshots?
And even if you answer that, it begs the question, who decides that mechanical spectrum is the deciding factor and spectrum to call someone "objectively" the GOAT? Sure, you can say as close to objectivity as possible but then the mechanical factor is barely the only main point.
Aspas is undoubtedly the GOAT Valorant Duelist Player Overall, but those who bootlick him and call him "GOAT" are mostly Stupid People and Brazilians.
Who decides anything is the deciding factor to call someone objectively the GOAT? Anything is subjective until it gets to a geral consensus. Saying he's mechanically great and decisive isn't subjective, a lot of players fit in. I personally think there's a lot of players in the conversation and not a definitive answer

Please read and properly comprehend my comment before replying. I literally just said

Anything is subjective until it gets to a geral consensus
Not really. Please read any modern English definition of "objective" and "subjective"
Even if all people in this planet were to hypothetically say that the color blue is the best color, if even one person says the color red is the best then the best color would be indeed subjective.
For the definition of "objective" with the keyword being "fact"
[Cambridge]
based on real facts and not influenced by personal beliefs or feelings:
not influenced by personal beliefs or feelings; fair or real:
[Oxford Learners]
not influenced by personal feelings or opinions; considering only facts:
[Merriam-Webster]
expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by personal feelings, prejudices, or interpretations:
of, relating to, or being an object, phenomenon, or condition in the realm of sensible experience independent of individual thought and perceptible by "all" observers:
So, we know for sure it is not objective in this case.
Regarding being subjective, as you may well know, just because from a single person it became a thought of multiple people does not make it automatically subjective because that would be stupid. As the same reason we don't say there isn't a subjective greatest color just because more people specifically like it.
There are no official rules, logic, evidence, proof etc. to be followed and based on when stating
Anything is subjective until it gets to a geral consensus
And also, therefore the statement below is false based on with the stated things from all above.
Saying he's mechanically great and decisive isn't subjective, a lot of players fit in.

But somehow you got it right at the end (only if there's not context to it though LOL)
lil bro keeps spamming this bait under every post ’cause he’s got nothing left to say about Aspas after dude dropped back-to-back nuclear performances and actually shows up when it matters, unlike bumnicle
only neutral positive (it made sense in my head) comment here and it got downvoted gg
state of vlr
Classic vlr don't disagree with a take in any way or you are braindead and stupid
Isn't that paradoxical for there to be 2 goats that would mean noone is the greatest of all time and thus there is no goat to begin with 🤔
Tbh to me there is none its too early to tell GOAT is a retroactive title that will take years to have a clear definition
But they are both definitely in the discussion
I fully agree with you on that the "GOAT" rn is just recency bias among a bunch of contenders and tbh I think this applies for so many sports and esports I feel like we shouldn't really use goat at all because it's not very accurate often
First of all duelist have easier time getting higher ratings yet aspas excluding this tournament managed a 1.08 rating over all int he appeared at. recency bias is crazy. Yeah he did great here, still lost, when shit hit the fan it was mostly verno saving mibr. So not only duelists have skwered ratings since kills and first kills count like 3x an assist. He still had 1.08 rating chron had 1.12 as a flex player that played 3/6 agents each tournament
First of all duelist have easier time getting higher ratings
no they don't ratings severely benefit initiators and controllers for the KAST and KD
when shit hit the fan it was mostly verno saving mibr
???? did you even watch the game lol
There are literally official valorant articles that state that Kast and staying alive is 4th and 5th from their 5 factor rating. And said that first kills count even more and kills in a 5v5 scenarios. You're just wrong. And yes i watched the game where on each map verno saved a crucial round or was even the reason it could go to overtime lol. Sure Aspas was killing a lot but when each round was important he get 1 for 1'd sadly. He is propably the best duelist in the world. But ratings wise before this tournament he wasnt even close to being the goat lol.
Then also include that you're getting drop'd hero vandals, operators' getting gifted orbs, and swinged for first so u can re frag. Chron is the guy that drops his gun to the duelist yet he still had better stats than aspas before this tournament. If aspas continues this form sure but rn this is just recency bias
https://www.vlr.gg/381456/vlr-rating-2-0-update rating 2.0 literally saying trading your teammates and bringing down man advantage got a high value. initiators and controllers usually BAIT their duelist and 2nd entry (flash init/flex) not the other way around. also getting a FD fucks your rating https://www.vlr.gg/160667/vlr-gg-player-rating-explained which Initiators and Controllers never do, while FK gets divided by duelist (mainly taking them) and sentinels (get them by lurking). Contextually they are the ones who benefit more by taking 2nd duels and 4v5/3v4 etc or even 1v2 exit frags which they do being normally the last ones alive
And yes i watched the game where on each map verno saved a crucial round or was even the reason it could go to overtime lol
Then somehow you missed aspas literal OT ace: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seqy13RyQ90
and his 4k singlehandlely bringing to OT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xTpWjzd_FE
"Fights where the player differential is even (5v5s, 1v1s, etc.) are worth the most."
"The survival contribution was intended to be a metric that rewarded players for saving valuable guns into the next round. This entire component was removed from the rating to focus it on the value a player provides within each round. The original weighting of this contribution was small, so removing it has a fairly minimal effect, but it is another minor chip in the armor of passive play."
" The overall weight of assists in Rating 2.0 has been reduced."
"In Rating 2.0, the effect of trading on a fight has been reduced."
"The original rating was a combination of five factors: a kill contribution, death contribution, assist contribution, damage contribution, and survival contribution. The kill and death contributions were by far the most impactful, and they incorporated information about things like economic advantages, trading, and weighting the player differential for each fight."
So not only u were wrong about kast and kd but you are still wrong about 2.0
So what are u saying?. Yes but the overtime happend bcs verno saved mibr in a 4vs2 viper pit situation. vs drx he also had amazing clutch rounds. Also killing in a round is different then clutching a round that was supposed to be lost. Verno was more clutch that's the truth actually aspas has one of the lowest clutch % on this tournament if u check stats lol. And the round for example where verno turned a 4vs2 into a 2vs2 no time to plant win round at a mtach point doesnt count as clutch bcs he wasnt left 1vsX but still it was a clutch nevertheless
And adding chronicle to your case of FK FD he actually get's a FK many many times i remember not long ago was a match where he was +10 in FK FD in 2 maps this is better than many duelists but yes inherently it is the same thing as i said that duelist mostly get opening kills that weight the most and if you are supposedly the goat then why would it affect ur rating in a negative way unless u are actually losing those fights, now that's not something a goat does is it
even when the game is live, u still watch from vlr stats? If there's esports for Tetris, go watch that instead
