"tech issues": if we actually considered this making TH have a fluke win over BBL, it would only move BBL up in rankings and move TH down. EMEA would be unaffected.
"online": doesnt matter if there werent any issues except the TH vs BBL game.
"single elim playoffs": better than watching an unfair grand final where 1 team has a 2 map-ban advantage

yeah that's the whole point, the only reason th are that high is because of you counting ewc.

it actually does matter considerably, because some rounds could be decided off of ping , whereas every itl riot tournament has always been on LAN.

why? i think its better to reward the team that went undefeated and penalize the team that lost a match. at the same time, a double bracket helps reduce variance significantly.

that alone doesn't make a tourney mickey, but it is without a doubt a major asterisk. when you consider the totality of ewc's problems its just another reason piled on.
