How the hell did they calculate in a way that EMEA is that much ahead of Americas? Are we in the same universe?

In the website they noted that both 2024 and 2025 was considered for regional rankings. In 2024, 2 teams finished in top 4 from Americas in every event and Americas won one event. In 2025, both regions pretty much had the same performance, one team went to Grand finals, one other team made it to playoffs, some teams got grouped.

So exactly when did EMEA outperform Americas? Cuz if you are saying the most recent event, Toronto was pretty much the same if you say SEN + G2 performance = TL + FNC. Before all of you say anything, no they didnt mention EWC at any point

Regions' overall power ranking was calculated by International performance, as it was noted in the website.

There's no way they included ewc, right? If not then its has to be the difference in close losses or something?

So you are saying MIBR having the worst international performance ever is the reason why they ranked EMEA as #2? Aint no way. If they are accounting the round differential for the ratings, these ratings are just meaningless then.

I'm trying my best to rationalise it, like right now I do think EMEA is stronger than AMER but results-wise AMER has had better international placements so unless the system accounts for regional differences - like top EMEA and APAC teams play very close and occasionally lose to their middle teams. Otherwise Americas should be considered stronger.

On Average I do agree EMEA is bit stronger than Americas, we have like 5 very bad teams, but EMEA has like 2-3. But at the top, at internationals there isnt that much of a difference at all. Thats why I am confused.

"AMER has had better international placements" this year? definitely not, every region had about the same average placement besides apac in Bangkok and Toronto, last year? Sure

includes all the bottom feeder teams otherwise CN would be above EMEA

Doesnt that cause weird rating disparity between the regions then? Cuz lets say Pacific has the highest regional score and that regional score is gonna be calculated into every regional games as well. As a result even the bottom teams ratings will inflate and that eventually causes overall regional score to inflate. Isnt that weird?

I think it should ve only internationals and I think they did that as well but idk what else they considered.

I mean it has NRG as #5 in the world without ever appearing in an international this year (I am aware it ranks recent games higher)

Whole ranking is shit besides the top 2 but by regions if they mean "quality" they are right, if they mean only at internationals then It should be really close for everyone besides apac
