MIBR at champs

I mean, they went head-to-head with the #2 team in the region during groups after coming back from the misery pit they’ve been in since Toronto. At the moment, they’re doing a 7-day bootcamp in Germany before traveling to Paris.

If Aspas and Cortezia are fully locked in, there’s definitely a scenario where they can take down RRQ or even Fnatic, especially if Fnatic’s mental is shaky after being eliminated in the lower bracket of the EMEA playoffs (Who knows). The team’s weakest link is Artzin, but Xenom does a good job as controller and Verno has been getting better and better as an IGL.

It’s hard to say for sure, but the potential is there.

People are overstating how bad mibr is since week 3 they haven’t been nearly as bad the first 2 weeks

The reason is that they underperformed for about 3–4 months, starting with the loss to Sentinels in Split 1 and then the disaster at Masters. They hit rock bottom, and the perception of MIBR as a terrible team just stuck with people.
Honestly, the MIBR that closed out Stage 2 groups looked better than KRU, Leviatán, or Cloud9...

I agree with you that they're a lot better than people are saying but at the same time this champions is too fucking stacked

Probably the most stacked Champions in history, yet Paper Rex still looks like they have a gap over everyone else, insane bro

I’m saying there’s a possibility, not making a statement. After all, Fnatic lost to BBL and Giants, and NRG is arguably a better team than both. MIBR lost to NRG by small details.
But Fnatic is still Fnatic, they’re a superteam. If they play the way they’re supposed to, with their mental in check, they’ll go through. Still, nothing is ever as predictable as it seems sometimes

Mibr is getting grouped. They aren't better than blg or rrq

Very likely, though I do think they’ve got a shot against RRQ

I can see them beating blg, not rrq or fnatic though. mechnically and strat wise they are worse than both by a good margin

BLG? This feels like their least winnable matchup...
