I've been hearing whispers about this ever since there was a fallout between the talon ceo and a friend he borrowed money from. Iirc a lot of pro players have also hinted at a matchfixing investigation going on in APAC rn. Anyone knows anything about this?

Just a rumour I heard. Someone just pm'ed me (I didn't even know you can do that here) and well, I'm not convinced but we'll see soon.

Edit: Oh nevermind they just deleted it. For anyone that's curious it was a clip from a NA T2 player talking about matchfixing in APAC, some voice recordings and some betslip screenshots

Did PRX also lose to ZETA recently? Is that match-fixing though? The rate is so huge though.

nah I think ZETA played really well and had insane anti against PRX + the game had next to no stakes so I think that's just an honest genuine upset whereas for the TLN game last year if they won they would've faced off against GENG (the best team at that time) in an elimination game where the winner makes champs and the loser doesn't, so I genuinely believe they lost on purpose to avoid that matchup as they were a lot better than ZETA at that time

Clearly they did. I also heard FNC match fixed against BBL and Giants. Even TH match fixed against BBL and NAVI. EMEA is just filled with match fixers.

at least it was something strategic. while matchfixing now is pretty much costing them, if they didnt throw a game, they'd actually qualify champs by now
