s0m/skuba roles?

Can someone explain the logic behind swapping s0m and skuba's roles every other map?
So far they've both been playing controller and sentinel pretty consistently. NRG seems to be favoring s0m on Omen, but then they roleswapped with skuba on Omen and s0m on Cypher in Sunset against KRU. They also seem to be favoring skuba on Viper, but s0m plays Viper on Haven where skuba plays Killjoy; they do the exact opposite on Icebox.

Is there anything to read into this other than map-dependent comfort? But then why did they switch roles between the same map (against G2 skuba was on Cypher and s0m on Omen)? I don't see a pattern.

Bonkar said the roles are based on how they want to play it on the map. More of a lurk? Then skuba plays it and if it’s more aggressive then s0m

Pretty sure bonkar said it depends on the map and how heavily lurking is relied on for map success. Depending on the comp they play too, whatever role is more suited to lurk, s0m and skuba will switch off.

both are extremely flexible and capable players so one map the senti required fits s0m or skuba's way of playing better then they will play that and switch off on other maps.

I think its good because of the similarities in the senti and smoke playstyle

prob micro roles. sentinel and controller overlap in a lot of in-game situations and they probably alternate on which microrole they feel more comfortable doing on a map. a viper on icebox generally is different from a viper on haven that is different from a viper on bind for instance

they play harbor on icebox (cove)
cove = shorty (shorty makes him throw)
vipers ultimate is great value for shorty (shorty makes him throw)
