Cypher NEEDS A NERF

This agent is too powerful

All the Cypher mains are gatekeeping this bs agent so it doesn't get nerfed
The value difference between Cypher and all other sentinels is too much
Shuts down all entries, NEEDS an Entire agent pick to counter it's abilities (Sova, Raze, Yoru)
No Agent should be so overpowered that you need to pick a certain agent to counter it.

Deadlock can be countered by Slow play
Killjoy can be countered by Entry duelists
Chamber can be countered by anything
Vyse can be countered by faking sites
Sage is Sage

but Cypher, if you don't have any agent to break his trips you're fked, your only choice is to go to the other site which is stacked with 4 people waiting to bust you.

Have you tried playing kayo sova raze yoru jett waylay kj tejo omen or alternatively put a walkout smoke down and just.... break the trip that's on the entry of the site?

• Counterpoint. Killjoy, Deadlock, Chamber and Vyse are countered by damaging abilities like Sova, Raze, Breach.
• Cypher having different ways to be countered such as Omen and Yoru TP make him fairly balanced especially if teams spread the map (if you're talking about ranked, this is less likely to happen due to coordination)
• Nobody is gatekeeping an agent since there are a dozen Cypher-only YouTubers who show a lot of incredible set-ups and explain that a lot of them are one-time use case since enemies will just target the utility with damaging abilities. Once Cypher loses his trips and camera, the player is dependent on positioning and lurks.

He's not that overpowered. He's been in the game for long enough that everyone should know his trips by now. As a senti main myself, the other team learns your setup really quickly. Your point about needing an entire agent pick for cypher is false. Sova, raze, and yoru are good agents regardless of whether or not cypher is played on the other side. Also, with the added delay on the trips, it's not that hard to break his trips even if you run into it.

best way to counter cypher in ranked is just to default to gain info then once you know where is cypher start walking to the opposite site

I agree he's annoying as shit but it really comes down to ranked teams being too stupid to counter him, and also trip sentinels should never have existed in this game to begin with

1 good initiator player and its over (im a sova fade main), sova shockdart, good timing with ur duelist to break traps with the prowler, a kayo knife, all that counters cypher setups and forces him to play retake or do an aggressive play

He got a slight nerf but we'll see. Ever since the trapwire got a distance buff, he became a top pick. Probably why Sage got a buff.
